"Ruiiii! You never gifted me a diamond ring for our marriage, did you?" Mei scowled cutely as she was sitting inside their car and glanced towards Rui who was seated beside her, driving.
The young man chuckled without any reply. He concentrated on driving carefully since last time they nearly escaped an accident because he wasn't paying attention to the road.

"Come on!" Mei exclaimed as she grabbed his arm and shook it. She wanted an answer no matter!
"H-hey! Careful! We are going to have an accident!" Rui quickly shoved her arm off his and drove fast to a parking lot and parked the car. Then, he turned his gaze towards the female sitting beside him as his face darkened. He looked angry.
"Hubby." She cutely looked at him, trying to calm him down. "Look, hubby. I was just saying I want a diamond ring! But you never gave me one." She pouted as she turned her head towards the window, looking outside as she pretended to be upset.

Rui's gloomy expression changed into a bright one as his lips curved into a grin.
"No honey. We are already married. What's the need for that?" Rui joked without laughing so Mei couldn't catch him.
"I'm gonna call mom and dad. They will show you if there's a need or not!" She quickly spoke and grabbed her phone, threatening him as she kept watching him, waiting for a reaction. But there was none.

Rui crossed his arms while smiling. "Go ahead." He said as if he knew she wouldn't do it.
"Meanie!" She teared up. "Why won't you take my threats seriously?" She pouted as she put her phone back in her purse.

Rui laughed. "I'm joking, ok? I'll give you anything you want, Mei. It's only a diamond ring." He said as he wrapped his arms around her and got closer to her neck. His warm lips brushed against her cold skin, making her shiver softly. Mei quickly pushed him away as she tried to hide her flushed face with her hands.
"Hehe~ no need to hide. I love seeing you like this." Rui gently removed her hands from her face and kissed her hands as he looked up at her, smiling brightly.

"Who's Rui?"
The question bought Mei back to the real world, away from her memories of her late lover.
"Someone." She brushed her tears off her cheeks as she stood up. She felt embarrassed. She has never cried in public ever since she was 14, after her parents' death. She felt like a child and she hated that.
'Why, why are you like this Rui? Did you really have to?.. Why did you do this? You knew you might leave me anytime...' She thought as her eyes started filled up with tears again.

Everyone's gaze was stuck on her and she averted her eyes towards Xu Cyan. She frowned and took one step closer to him with her eyes locked into his. Her eyes were like burning fire, and everyone in the club could tell she wanted to slap him. Mei took a deep breath and clenched her hands tightly as she turned around in anger.

Xiao Lei stood at the sideway of the stage, with his hands in his pockets. He let out a soft breath as he took off his suit and walked behind Mei. He threw the suit on her head, covering her face and quickly dragged her out of the club.
"Kai, bring these and deal with the rest." He ordered his assistant before leaving.

Mei barely could say a word. She just had an emotional moment. Her mind was too slow to capture everything that was happening around her. It was too fast!

Everyone else just stared at the couple leaving the scene. Some started to think that the CEO of the XIAOZ company might have some type of relationship with that woman.
A few reports wanted to record the incident but couldn't have imagined that something like this would have happened. Hence, they didn't have their cameras ready.

"H-hey!! What do you think you're doing?!" Chen Mei yelled as she tried to throw off the coat from her head but Xiao Lei insisted and pulled it down fiercely so she wouldn't succeed.
"Shh." He whispered beside her ear.
Mei froze for a second. 'Am I getting kidnapped in public?! What the hell are my friends doing?!' She angrily thought, not knowing that her friends were too drunk to even stand up on their own. Saving her if she was in trouble was too far of a question.

"Who's that man?" Xiao Lei asked as he rubbed his hair as his ears turned pink.
"Huh? Which man?" Mei removed the suit, knowing that she would find Xiao Lei in front of her. After all, at this point, she knew what his voice sounded like.

"Umm.. you know. The one who made this necklace and ring for you." Xiao Lei glanced towards her, to follow the change of expression. But it didn't happen.

Chen Mei stood there in silence and expressionless for a few minutes before parting her lips. "Oh. You don't need to know." She simply said as she started walking towards the parking lot. She didn't feel like going back in there. Plus, her friends are probably busy being lovey-dovey. She wouldn't want to deliberately bother them.

Xiao Lei grabbed her waist with a little bit of force, stopping her from going further.
Mei turned her head.
"What now?" She said with an annoyed tone.
"Let me drop you home." He suggested.
"No thanks." She shook off his arm, getting out of his grip and she started walking again.
She could hear steps following her, and she knew it was Lei'er. She didn't bother returning to check because it was getting late and she needed to check if Xue'er was asleep.
'This child. He might be playing games. Mom probably thinks he's asleep. He's just so good with his tricks.' Mei thought as she sighed.

She reached her car and got in, finding Xiao Lei already inside the car.
"W-wait. How did you get here?" She rolled her eyes, getting more pissed.
"Magic," he teasingly said with a light chuckle.
Mei frowned, not finding it funny at all. He looked like a stalker and she didn't want to have anything to do with people as such. She had enough of them in England, not in China too!
"Get out, Xiao Lei." She coldly ordered, still frowning.
"No, miss girlfriend." He said with a smile on his lips. He was enjoying her reactions. He found it cute and he couldn't help but do everything she doesn't want him to.
"Sigh." Chen Mei took to put her phone and texted her mother-in-law.
[Mom, did Xue'er sleep? Please go check and let me know.]
A few seconds later, her phone lightened up. Chen Zi has replied to her text.
[Yes, he's asleep. You can take your time and have fun with your friends. You don't go out often anyways.]
Mei stares at her phone but she wasn't reading. Her mind was completely blank.
"Oh! She said to have fun." Xiao Lei glanced at her phone meanwhile. "Now, now, get out of the car and sit here. I'll drive you to a very pretty place." He told her while smiling.
Mei sighed and did as he said. She kind of started to realize he was too stubborn to listen to her.

After a while, both of them had switched their places. Xiao Lei started the car and drove away from the parking lot.

"Wait. Where are we going?.." Mei hesitantly asked. She knew he might not even give her an answer but she needed to ask, just to make sure.
"Surprise." Xiao Lei grinned while driving.
