The Meeting

TW: swearing, mild violence

Tony left the room to call a meeting and your parents sat down on the sofas nearby. No one said anything, not a word was muttered. At this point you wanted to cry but you would never, not infront of someone.

After twenty minutes of silence Tony came to get you all. You walked into the meeting room and everyone was looking at you, 'have uou never seen a child before.' You said looking at them. Before sitting down you noticed the only person who actually knew you and said 'hey aunt Nat,' before you Papa gave you a disapproving look telling you not to keep speaking.

Steve and Bucky sat down and then looked at you with a look telling you to sit down in the chair in between them.

Knowing better than to argue, despite really not wanting to be there you sat down.

Steve began to speak, 'This is Y/N, Bucky and mines daughter.'

Already bored out of your mind as your parents began to explain how you had been at boarding school for the past two years and had just been expelled.
Natasha, looked at you in shock after hearing this
'Y/N!' She exclaimed disappointedly.

You shrugged at her even though it actually really hurt to know she too was as disappointed as your parents. You continued to get more and more bored and so began playing with your chair making it go up and down. You did that  for a while until your Papa gave you a disapproving look so reluctantly you stopped. Now more bored finding this meeting explaining you incredibly tedious.

Soon, the Avengers began asking questions about you as Sam asked,
'How is she your daughter?' He asked without waiting for answer continuing in with, 'Is she related to one of you or something and you just raise her together.'

'Both,' Bucky began. ' HYDRA wanted to find out what happened if  two super soldiers had a child. She is 100% ours.' Bucky said. At this point in time both of your parents a little disappointed to admit that to there workmates. Which although the Avengers did not tell you most certainly could tell but you knew you deserved it.

By now you could not bear to be listening to this conversation any longer and stood up. But, as you began to walk Bucky pulled you onto his lap and as you tried to stand up again you were pulled back down.
'For Fucks Sake!' You exclaimed quietly in a whisper tone mainly for your owns sake.
You tried again eventually you gave in a slumped onto his chest as Tony gave you a weird look. You stuck your tongue out at him and Bucky seeing hit you on the back of the head.

You rolled your eyes crossing your arms.

Steve continued to answer all the questions about you but at this point you had zoned out. You were lost in thoughts in reality wanting to be anywhere but here.

Your thoughts were filled with things from earlier that day, your parents yelling. The social services guy who asked you why your parents didn't pick up and you explaining you changed their phone numbers on the application form. Meeting Tony, the massive amount of security to get into the compound. You were swallowed in your own thoughts but everyone else was much to busy questioning about you to notice your completely absent mind.

Eventually, the Avengers knew more about your past than you did and you began to come back to reality. Soon everyone left having missed out on some important work querying about you. Bucky then lifted you off his lap. Leaving the room also as, Steve picked you up. At this point you could not be bothered to say anything as Steve carried you up the stairs to his and Bucky's room.

'I can walk.' You said squirming trying to get your Papa to let you go. He ignored you and didn't budge your squirming wasn't doing a thing.

Steve put you down when you got to their room and looked right at you and said, 'you better start behaving Y/N I do not want the people Me and Bucky work with thinking we raised a devil child.'

'Bucky and I,' you corrected snarkily.
'And for the record I am definitely not a devil child, I could be way worse.' You exclaimed then rolling your eyes. Steve slapped you on the arm lightly for that statement which was still really hard cause he's a super soldier.

'you better behave young lady!' He said very sternly indeed and you backed up little. You didn't want to be there, god how you wished you could leave. You hated the idea that not only your parents but Natasha too were disappointed in you.

Steve then looked at you and began to speak much more calmly than before, 'Daddy and I have to do work now so you are going to stay in here and behave, I will come get you when dinner is ready.' He told you this looking at you with a look that said I don't trust you.

'Can I watch TV?' You asked knowing the answer but deciding there is no harm in asking.

'No Y/N, your grounded.' Steve said picking up the TV remote and walking out asking Jarvis to lock the door behind him.
