"You seem slightly happier than you've appeared the last few days," Ben said as he walked beside Levi to Hass class.
"How can you tell the difference?" Louis asked. "His facial expression doesn't change much, so I can never tell!"
"You kinda just get that sorta vibe from that person. So, has the issue been resolved?"
"I think so," Levi said. "I hope so."
"Levi!"
Hange ran up to Levi from behind and slung her arm around his shoulder.
"How's it going?" she asked, smiling brightly.
"G-good."
"I don't know about you, but I feel super energised after yesterday!"
"Is that so?"
"You do seem to be on a sort of high, don't you, Hange?" Ben said.
Hange giggled.
"Um... excuse me?"
The group stopped to look at the girl standing behind them. Louis' eyes widened while Ben's jaw dropped.
"Raina?!" Ben said, almost shouting. "Is that you?! What's all this?! You got pigtails and everything! And you're so calm! Wait a minute... What are you doing here? Don't you have the Perfects to tend to? Did they set you up for something?"
"Um, well..."
"Calm down, Ben," Levi said, patting his shoulder. "What do you need, Raina?"
"Um, well, if I may, I'd like to have a word with you and Hange."
"So polite..." Ben whispered.
Louis leaned in close to Ben.
"Simp~" he said in a singsong voice.
"Boy, I'ma whoop your bachelor-reject looking ass," Ben said, annoyed, cheeks red.
"Dude, you're just mad I caught you all flustered."
"You little-"
"Uh, forget them," Hange said, pushing Raina away. "Let's go talk."
Raina took Hange and Levi to an empty corridor while Ben and Louis bickered.
"So, what's up?" Hange asked.
"Well..." Raina said. "I never got a chance to apologise yesterday for all the trouble I've caused you both. In fact, words cannot express the damage I've done and how much I'm sorry. Hange... I wasn't a very good friend to you. In fact, I never even thought of you as a friend at all. I looked down on you and played a vital role in your depression."
"Raina-"
Raina held a finger up, gently signalling to Hange that she'd like to finish her apology. She turned to Levi.
"Levi... You tried to free Hange from my... well, our grasp, me and the Perfects. Doing so was the right thing. She was so much happier with you than she was with us. When she left the Perfects, our world started to crumble. I refused to believe that we needed her and that we had done anything wrong, so in the end, I blamed it all on you. I wanted to hurt you so bad."
Raina then bowed her head as low as she could.
"I'm sorry!"
Hange became flustered and started waving her arms around.
"Raina, d-don't do that! Don't bow!" she pleaded. "We... um...!"
"Raina, it's ok," Levi said. "Don't act like this or you'll make yourself feel worse. Plus... it's a little weird..."
