{Twenty}

Raina and the others stared at the building in horror. Or rather, what was left of it.

"They were still in there..." Raina whispered, sitting on a blanket on the ground. Tears sprung to her eyes. "No... It couldn't be..."

Miss V handed Raina a box of tissues.

"Thank you..." she whispered, taking one.

Charli ran around frantically, looking for Hange and Levi. She had succeeded in getting everyone who was still inside Blossom Building out in time by smashing down one of the walls.

She ran to Raina.

"You're one of Levi and Hange's friends, right?" she asked quickly. "Do you know where they are?"

Raina didn't respond. She couldn't. All she could do was look at what was left of the tree that housed Blossom Building and grieve.

Charli followed her gaze, her eyes widening.

"They weren't... still in the building... were they?"

At the sound of Charli's shaky voice, Raina broke down into tears. Charli was the last one to find out about Hange and Levi's apparent death.

"Look!" someone shouted suddenly.

He pointed to the admin building where Levi was walking out of, Hange in his arms. All the students gasped. Charli covered her mouth with her hands and slumped to the ground in tears, Miss V comforting her.

Levi walked straight over to the first staff member he saw, who instructed him to place her down on a blanket. She examined her body and looked at Levi.

"She's gonna be ok. She might have a few scars, though."

The lady patted the grass next to her and Levi sat down. She started to pat a cold, damp cloth on his burns and clean the cut on his cheek. 

Levi placed his hand on Hange's and she squeezed it.

"Hange..."

"I'll leave you two alone," the staff member said, picking up the signals. "If something happens, come find me."

Levi nodded, then looked at Hange, whose eyes slowly opened to look at him.

"Hange... w-why the hell did you run back into the building?! Do you know how stupid and dangerous that was?! You could've died!"

"I'm sorry..." Hange whispered. "There... was just something... I needed to bring back with me... Something... I don't know if I'll ever have the courage to make again..."

"You mean this?"

Levi took the small red box out of his pocket and put it in Hange's hand.

"Yes..."

Her eyes filled with worry.

"Did you open it?"

Levi's gaze softened and he smiled slightly at her.

"No," he said.

He saw Hange's face relax.

Levi looked up and watched as a couple of staff members walked over to Miss V and Charli, who sat nearby.

"We found this kid near the building with a bunch of stored away explosives. Looks like he was preparing to make his next move."

Another staff member brought a boy forward. Miss V's eyes widened and she was left speechless. 

"Travis..?" Eve asked, walking out of the crowd of students towards the boy.

Travis' face lit up as he saw her and he tried to move towards her. The staff held him back and Eve took a step away from him.
