Chapter 16 : Meeting your date's family

'Ok Yui! You got this! Just do as the website said. Don't be overbearing, don't be creepy and try to be an interesting person to her' , Yui hypes herself up as she and Izuku stand on the other side of the road waiting for the traffic to let up.

"You know, if you are uncomfortable we can do this some other day", Izuku suddenly says as he grabs hold of her hand and the gamer girl couldn't help but blush at this. She looks at him while giving a slight smile and says, "You see Izuku, I don't know an entire side of you- you as a dad and that is intriguing enough. The way you talk about Hanabi is very much enough for me to say that she is a huge part of your life, and I can't truly know you, until I know you as a father. So I don't want to miss this!"

"I am sorry if I came across as an overbearing guy. You seemed... nervous", Izuku says with an awkward grin to which Yui replies, "Well I am about to meet my date's daughter and his mother and I want to make a good impression on them. So it's very much obvious that I am nervous". The animator lets out a chuckle and says, "Well that's fair I guess".

As soon as the traffic got thin, Izuku led Yui across the road and the gamer found herself in front of the main door which leads inside Midoriya Residence. Yui composes herself and she adjusts a stray hair which was coming over her cheek. She then straightens her crumpled up clothes and clenches and unclenches her fists. Izuku looks at her with an amused expression on his face and asks, "Are you ready?"

She looks at him with a determined expression on her face and while nodding she replies, "I am", and Izuku opens the door for her.

Yui's eyes dart everywhere as she enters the house and as she stands there at the entrance, Izuku calls out saying, "Mom! Yui is here!" The very moment Izuku called his mother, a woman walked out of a door. The gamer noticed that the woman was quite short and plump, and Yui couldn't help but feel a warm feeling in her body when she saw the woman smile at her. It reminded her of her mother very much. The woman even had green hair and emerald eyes just like her son and Izuku while pointing at the woman says, "Yui, meet my mom!" and he then looks at his mom while pointing at herself and says, "Mom, this is Yui".

"It's a pleasure to finally meet you Mrs. Midoriya. Izuku talks a lot about you", Yui says in a monotone voice, which was not missing the warmth and she bows in front of the Midoriya matriarch. 'There!' Yui thinks as she finished greeting her date's mother and the gamer was quite satisfied with the result. During their chats, Izuku did speak about his mother a lot and the way he talked about her made it very much clear that he loved his mother very much. So Yui made it her personal mission to always pay keen attention when Izuku started to talk about his mother or his family.

"Likewise Yui-chan. It's my pleasure too! Even Izuku talks a lot about you", Mrs. Midoriya replies warmly with a smile on her face and Yui couldn't help but give a slight smile herself. Damn! These Midoriyas really knew how to make a person smile. Izuku always made her smile like an idiot and now his mother!? She could only fathom how his daughter would make her smile. But suddenly she started to process what the woman said and this caused her to blush.

'IZUKU TALKS ABOUT ME!? EHHHH!?' Yui screams internally and her face goes red. The green haired animator looks at her with concern and asks, "Yui? Are you ok? You are going red".

"I'm fine!" Yui squeaks out her answer and she sees Mrs. Midoriya has a knowing smile on her face and Yui screams, 'SHE KNOWS!'

"Mom, where is Hanabi?" Izuku asks and Yui suddenly sees the six year old blonde girl standing behind a wall and peeking out shyly. Her brown eyes and the permanent blush on the face made her a really cute girl. Mrs. Midoriya, without looking back, points to where the girl was standing and says, "There she is". This causes the girl to squeak a bit and Yui couldn't help but smile at her cuteness.
