7. "you see, i have...feelings for you..."

Author's POV

It's not everyday you
grow feelings for
someone you met
only just a week ago.
And it's not everyday
you kiss the person
you just met.

Jay's mind was
extremely confused.
He was a little
frustrated as well.
Jay can't figure out
the meaning behind
their kiss last night.

Jay, at the moment,
is sitting straight up in bed
against his pillow.
He tossed and turned
so much last night,
he hardly slept at all.

All Jongseong wanted to
do was sleep and rest.
But his mind was too
boggled up with Ni-Ki
and the current situation.

Jay wanted to believe
that the kiss wasn't only
his doing but, he felt
like it was.

It's 7:30 in the morning.
Jay was the only
one awake in
his apartment.

Jay stared down at
his phone that was
placed in his lap.
He hoped that he
would hear a ding
or ring from
his phone, and that
it would be from Ni-Ki.

Jay did get a notification
but it was something
about his memories
of New Year's from
2 years ago.

This was when Jay
laid flat back
down on the bed.
He closed his eyes
for a good solid minute.

He imagined hugging
Ni-Ki in a meadow
covered my with gorgeous,
yellow sunflowers.
Eyes full of joy,
arms wrapped tightly
around one another.
Faces in a close proximity.

The gap started to shrink
between their faces.
Slowly their lips connected.
It was so magical
and beautiful.

Then Jay slapped
himself out of his
weird dream.
He rubbed his face
and was now sitting up.

Jay sighed and
got out of bed.
He walked towards
the kitchen and
searched for
some ice-cream
in the freezer.

He got lucky,
they had some chocolate
ice-cream left in the freezer.
He grabbed an abnormally
large spoon and started
enjoying the tub filled to
the brim with ice-cream.

He then zoned out,
staring at the
back of the sofa,
taking in big mouthfuls
of the frozen dessert.

Jay was interrupted
by Jake who was
in his pjs as well,
shuffling his feet
on the carpet of the
living room,
whilst rubbing his
tired and exhausted
eyes.

"What are you doing awake?"
Jake asked, yawning.
"I couldn't sleep."
Jake then fully focused
on Jay and realised
that the older was
eating ice-cream.

"Why are you eating
ice-cream,"
asked Jake, and
checked the clock
on the wall,
"at 7:30 in the morning?"

"I don't know."
"Did something happen?"
"No."
"Then what is it?"

Jay looked up at
Jake again.
Jay then let it all
out to Jake.
He explained
all the events between
him and Ni-Ki, and
his feelings for Ni-Ki to Jake.
