22. the apartment

Author's POV

The new beginning
to something that
has just begun.
So, they've just
moved in, gotten
everything of theirs
in the apartment.

After everyone left,
they couldn't help
but embrace each other
in a warm and sweet hug.

Ni-Ki and Jay explored
the apartment for
ages, either choosing
where things should
go or just admired
the view the apartment
window had.

For dinner, Jay made
some curry - I don't know
what it's called exactly
but the two thought
it was delicious and
they both went for seconds.

Jay and Ni-Ki continued
on opening a few boxes.
They decorated the apartment
with some new furniture.
The place was actually
starting to look a bit more
like a home with the furniture.

Author's POV

Now if you were to
walk inside their apartment,
you would be greeted
by a white and very clean
welcome mat.
A timber coat hanger
and a rack for your shoes
displayed right beside you.

If you walked
a bit forward, you
would see the small,
but roomy, kitchen
that had wooden flooring
and already a few
appliances.

On the left you can see
a hallway which
leads you down to
where rooms
such as: bathroom,
bedroom, laundry
room are.

If you walk
away from the kitchen and
you head to north-east,
you can see the living room.
The couch had some grey
and white pillows with
a few blankets laid
on top of it.

Then, near the lounge room,
you could see a door.
If you happened to
open this door,
you would have entered
Jay and Ni-Ki's room.
It's probably the largest
bedroom in the apartment.
It has a bathroom as well.
And a great view of
the city.

And if you walked
in there right now,
you would be greeted
by sleeping Jay and Ni-Ki,
spooning each other
as they were almost
fully under the covers.

When Jay woke up, the
sun shone through
the bedroom window,
almost blinding sleepy Jay.

He sat up and looked
over at Ni-Ki who
had been awake for
a good 10 minutes.

"Hello~,"
Ni-Ki said,
looking down
at his phone.
"Good morning."

Jay laid back
down on the bed,
scooting over to Ni-Ki.
"What do you
wanna do today?"
Jay asked, hugging
the younger's side.

"Hmm? Oh, I thought
we could go down to
a cafe down the street
to have some breakfast.
Maybe we could watch
that movie about the
people on a boat
at sea? - I don't know
but it looks good."

Jay had a secret grin
on his face.
"Ah, ok. You wanna go
to that cafe soon?
Or later?"

"Maybe we'll start
getting ready in,
maybe twenty minutes."
"Ok."

The two boys
then looked down
at Ni-Ki's phone,
watching him as he
played some random
game on his phone.
