Author's POV

The first morning after
coming back from South Korea.
Ni-Ki rubbed his eyes
as he sat up, looking around
his dark room that only
had a small streak of light
from outside, coming through
a window in his room.

Riki wasn't too stoked
to be back home because,
well, there isn't anything
really exciting to
look forward to other
than seeing his friends and
family again.

He got up from his
bed and walked calmly
to the kitchen.
"Good morning, Riki.
Your breakfast is
on the table,"
his mother said.
"Thanks mum,"
mumbled Ni-Ki,
taking a seat at the
counter.

"Good sleep?"
His mum asked.
"Not really."
"Why?"
"I don't know.
Maybe because my
mind was full of
many things.
I couldn't stop
thinking."

"Ah, I see.
But try and have
a good sleep tonight,
you've had a big
couple of days."
"Yes, mum."

Mrs. Nishimura
pat her son's
head before
walking away.

Ni-Ki finished his
breakfast fairly quickly.
He wanted to pick
up his phone that
was beside him
and call Jay, though
he knew the older
would still be sleeping
at this time.

Ni-Ki actually woke
up quite early today.
Well, it was eight am
when he awoke from
his slumber, but Jay
sleeps in till about nine.
So Riki had to wait
for a good hour or so.

In the meantime,
Ni-Ki messaged some
of his friends that live nearby.
He called a few of them
and they caught up a bit.

The news Ni-Ki told
them about him having
a boyfriend back in
Seoul was probably the last
thing they would've
expected.

Ni-Ki also went down
to a convenience store
that was just down
the street to get some
milk for his mum.
This was because she
wanted to make
a chocolate cake.
Just for fun,
you know.

Riki may have also gotten
some lollies for himself.

Ni-Ki actually bumped
into someone he knew.
He ended up talking
to the person for
a good solid ten
minutes.

Just as Ni-Ki walked
out of the convenience store,
his phone in his pocket
started buzzing.
He brought his cellphone
out from his pocket and
saw that Jay's contact name
was displayed on the screen.

Ni-Ki picked up the call,
his greeting sounding
so cheerful and like
he was smiling.

"Hi Ni-Ki, how are you?"
Jay asked.
"I'm good! I'm getting
some milk for mum
right now. What about
you?"

"I'm good as well.
I just woke up and
I just made myself
some breakfast—."
"HI NI-KI!!!!"
A very familiar
voice shouted
on Jay's side of the phone,
blasting at Ni-Ki's
eardrums.

"Hi Jake,"
laughed Ni-Ki.
"How are you!!!"
"I'm great, hyung."
"That's good!
Bye-bye now!
Be good!"

Ni-Ki didn't know
why Jake was acting
as if he were his mother,
but it still amusing to
the younger.
