Author's POV

No one enjoys having
to wake up early and act
as if you're ready to
go out somewhere.
Well, Ni-Ki isn't exactly
"going out" to enjoy
a dinner or lunch.

He is going home.
Riki woke up to
the sound of his deafening
alarm, blaring in
his ears.

Ever though he
wanted to
turn it off and
continue sleeping,
he knew he had to do
get up and be
awake.

Riki got up feeling
exhausted.
He put on some
comfortable clothing
because, well, he was
gonna be wearing
it for the next
14 hours at least,
so I think he would
like to wear something
somewhat warm and cosy.

Ni-Ki walked out his room,
with his already
packed suitcase.
He decided to finish
packing everything
last night because
he knew that he would
not be up to it
in the morning.

By the time he
made his own breakfast,
ate it, brushed his teeth,
cleaned out the bathroom
of his remaining toiletries
inside - it was finally
time to leave.

Ni-Ki and his parents
sauntered out
the apartment room.
They made their way
to the elevator,
the three walked inside
the lift and pressed the
button that would
lead them straight down
to the ground floor.

Not much people
in the lobby at all.
I mean, it was six in
the morning, so you
wouldn't really expect
that much people
wandering about the building.

The small family
of three walked
to the counter where
they had to sign out.
Ni-Ki stayed seated
on a sofa, waiting.

A couple of individuals
passed by, on their
way to work.
Some couples or
nuclear families
signing into the building.

The elevator would ring
every once and a while,
grabbing Ni-Ki's attention.
He was a bit bored so
the slightest sounds
intrigued him.

It had been about 5 minutes
since Riki sat down,
patiently staying
seated on the couch
when the lift made a light
dinging sound.

Riki looked over and
saw someone...
...someone that he knows,
and someone that he
didn't expect to be out
at this time.

Ni-Ki smiled at them
and got up to run
and give them a tight hug.

"Jay! Why are you
in the lobby? You're
meant to be sleeping,"
said Ni-Ki.
Jay laughed at the
younger's silliness.

"I'm here to see you!"
The older pecked Ni-Ki's lips.
Ni-Ki got extremely shy.

They haven't really ever
kissed in front of
many strangers.
Usually they share a
peck or two in their
own space, not
out in the open.

Not saying they haven't
kissed out in public,
just, people don't really
pay attention to them.

Anyways,
Jay and Ni-Ki started
talking about
how they were going
to stay in touch and
maybe they could
meet up somewhere
sometime soon.
