Author's POV

A "date" can
be a bit confusing
if you don't inform
to the person you
are witch that you two are
both going on a "date".

You two could be
for example:
sitting somewhere
eating a meal -
one excited person,
and one oblivious person.

This was a bit
like Ni-Ki and Jay
at the arcade.
They've been playing
games for about an hour,
making it around 2 o'clock.

The two are currently
playing a basketball game.
Almost fully staring
at the amount of scores
the two are getting.

Jay was at 23 shoots.
Ni-Ki was a 27.
The two boys became more
and more competitive.

Ni-Ki ended up winning
in the end with 42 wins...
Jay just kept on saying
that he let the younger win...

Anyway, they then
decided to play Air Hockey.
They hit the puck with
force at one another.
Jay and Ni-Ki couldn't
stop laughing when Jay
accidentally hit
the puck off the table.

The pair soon decided
to get some ice-blocks,
because, why not, you know?

They sat down at some
seats in the arcade,
eating their delicious
but sugary ice-blocks.

"Hey hyung..."
Ni-Ki mumbled,
looking over
towards the older.
"Hmm?"
Jay glanced at the younger,
presenting a small
smile.

"I wanna ask you something."
Jay sat there waiting
for the younger to continue.
"Ok, I wanted to tell
you this this morning
when we were on a call.
Can we...be shjsjtwijqks more?"
Ni-Ki murmured.

"Huh? Sorry Ni-Ki, I
didn't hear you."
"Can we be shaojwbsksns..."
"Wha— sorry—"
"Can we be something more
than just friends!"
Ni-Ki almost yelled.

Jay was a bit shocked,
but when the question
fully sunk in, he
was blushing.

"I thought we already were?"
Jay said.
Ni-Ki crossed his eyebrows.
"What do you mean?",
the younger asked,
looking down at something
near them.

"Well, friends usually don't
kiss each other."
Ni-Ki went from staring
at a table near him,
to the person beside him.

Their eyes connected.
Again.
And it was the same
feeling as before.

Like the world around
them slowed down.
Everything froze.
And it felt like
it became warmer when
really, they were both
just blushing.

The gap between their faces
slowly disappeared.
It was gone.

Yes, they kissed.
And this time,
the two didn't even
think to back away.

Ni-Ki's hands somehow
rose up to Jay's
neck and Jay's arms
slowly moved to
around Ni-Ki's
upper back.

And, unfortunately,
oxygen is a thing.
So they had to
back away the kiss...
Darn you oxygen!

The two boys stayed
seated as they admired
each other for
another minute or so.
