Okay. Time to get ready for party preparations.

I’m glad I’m friends with Clare so she can take care of the food. Cerise Van Sorret has to go to the store! Ha!

This party is going to rock socks off!

I don’t understand why everyone thinks I want to go to her dumb party. I mean, seriously. Who wants to go to a party with sushi, fizz water, an epic movie and personal bathrobes. Okay, I hate myself for admitting it but…I do.

I can’t believe she didn’t invite me. Why did she anyway? But I will not show any weakness. I will host this freshmen party and I will have fun. What am I doing? Hosting a freshmen party?

I collapse on my bed.

I decide to go and take a look in Cerise’s bedroom. She’s standing there with her personal maid she’s brought from L.A.

“And remember to buy assorted flavor fizz water. And don’t forget to buy the salted crackers.”

The maid nods and starts to make her way out. I quickly start walking away. But then I hear Cerise again.

“Oh and Margie! Don’t forget this.” She handed her maid a list of things for goodie bags. Seriously? Goodie bags!?

I headed back to my room and pulled out a box of party decorations. Then I hauled it down the stairs.Yes, I know it’s weird that I have a box of party decorations with me at boarding school.

“Where did you get those?” Clare asked as she set up plates of sweets on the table.

“You should always be prepared. You never know when you’re going to have to throw a party!”

I started to hang up decorations when Cerise’s maid walked down the stairs. She quietly gasped and then quickly went up the stairs.

After I finished that, I saw Adam sitting on the couch in the lounge.

“Hey, Adam.” I said.

He smiled at me. But he looked so sad. I think he was upset about something.

“What’s wrong?”

“Oh, it’s nothing.”

“Really? Cause you look kind of sad.”

“It’s just that…Well, you can’t tell her…Or anyone.”

“Huh?”

“I think…I think I’m in love with Gwen.” He whispered.

I wasn’t really surprised. He’s been drooling over her since this morning.

“Aww, really?”

“Yeah, and I don’t know what to tell her. Does she have a boyfriend?”

“Not that I know of.” I sit down.

“Could you ask her?”

“Come on, Adam. If you really like her then ask her yourself.”

“It’s strange. Usually I’m on top of things. I’m not afraid of anything. But not this time.”

“I guess you really do like her.”

After some silence, I pipe up.

“What are you doing tonight?”

“Nothing.”

“Want to come to a party?”

“Sure.” He says. He finally sounds upbeat.

“Great. It’s at seven thirty. See you then.” I get up and feel good. I’m finally helping someone.
