Alex
Well…The party was a bust. I’m just glad it ended with Scrabble and not an explosion.
I seriously don’t want Cerise to find out though. So, I did something about it.
“Alright freshmen! Listen up!”
All their little heads turned to me.
“If Cerise Van Sorret asks if the party was a fail, you say it was awesome. Understood?”
It was strange because they all cheered and clapped.
“If you’re asking us to lie, Alex, you don’t have to. This party was epic!”
I’m pretty sure my jaw dropped. They actually had fun? Of course they did. I am awesome.
In your makeup caked face, Van Sorret!
So I guess Adam thought Gwen was going to come to my party but she really went to Cerise’s.
Poor Adam. I wonder if he was going to tell her how he felt tonight.
I told him that I told Gwen what he told me. When I’m done, I look over at Ian. He looks confused.
I look back to Adam.
“Adam.”
“Yes?”
“If you want Gwen to know that you like her, but you think it’s too soon. Just hint it. Not exactly flirt but hint.”
“What’s hinting?”
“You’ll figure it out.”
I went into the kitchen and started cleaning up. Clare was out and I promised her I’d keep things in order. Ian and Adam help me. The freshmen leave without even putting away the board game, darn them. Me and Ian are laughing and sometimes splashing each other with dish water but Adam looks sad as he scrubs a plate. Maybe I’ll help him with Gwen.
