Camilo's Point of View

"Merella!" I shout running towards her. I was across the room from her when I saw her holding her head with a pale face. I barely managed to get to her before she fell. "I got you Mer. I got you." The party crowds around me and my tia pushes through with Mer's mom. When she see me on the floor holding her daughter her face goes pale.

"What happen?" she questions. Her eyes searching mine for an answer.

"I don't know Señora. I saw her from across the room looking faint, I barely caught her." I tell her. She nods and takes Mer from my arms. I shiver with the sudden coldness I felt. I watch as Mer's mom pours water over her. Everyone holds their breath waiting for a response. Merella's eyes shoot open and she gasps. Everyone claps and cheers but she immediately covers her ears. I go up to her and her mother and offer my help. I help her mother carry Mer back to their house. I pick her up and carry her upstairs and go into her room and lay her down in her bed. "Gosh Mer." I mutter as I brush a hair from her face "Don't scare me like that ok. Te necestio. I need you" I whisper. I sit next to her for a few minutes waiting for her face to calm.

"Camilo, I can take it from here" My head snaps and I see her mother and father standing in the doorway. I shoot up and hope the darkness of the night hides my blushing face.

"Of course, tell me if she gets worse." I say as I walk past them. When I get back to my house I jump onto my bed and cover my face with my hands. "What am I doing? Why did I feel like that?" I say as I drift into sleep.

When the sun rises I am already out of bed. I was starving and realized I had forgotten to eat dinner. I shift into Dolores in hopes of getting seconds. I walk outside to the breakfast table and start piling my plate full of food. Mirabel comes up to me and starts rambling on and on about something about the magic. I just smile and nod until my dad walks out and scolds me for pretending to be Dolores. I chuckle "Worth a shot". As I am eating I start to picture Merella's eyes. I smile to myself thinking of her laugh. I look down the road at her families cafe. My face lights up and as soon as Abuela finished her little speech I jump out of my seat and run down the road. I get to the cafe and I see her. I suck in a breath as I feel my heart start to pound. Merella turns and looks out the window at me. She smiles her perfect, goofy smile and waves at me. I smile back and enter her store.

"Hola, te necestio." She jokingly says. "Shit" I mumble.
