15. In Her Arms

Camilo's POV
I was not excited for tonight's dinner. Sure it would be nice to eat with everyone but my mind was racing. I felt a weird sense of jealousy whenever Mer was around Andres. I told myself that everything was fine and I forced a smile as I walked downstairs. Dolores gave me a quick smile before pulling me into a corner.

"I heard something last night." she whispered. "I heard Andres talking to himself about Merella but he was talking about a picture that he had with her. I don't know what that means but I find it weird considering the fact that he just moved here." I nodded and head to the table. Dinner went quick. With Bruno being back it was a lot more relaxed as if the family had released a deep breath that they had been holding. Still I couldn't calm my self down. I knew that I would be more comfortable outside so I went for a walk. My feet led me right outside Merella's window. I picked up a small pebble and threw it at her window. Then I threw another I quickly stopped myself from throwing a third when Mer poked her head out. She looked down and smiled when she saw me. She quickly jumped into my arms.

"Camilo what are you doing here?" She asked as I carefully set her down.

I held out my hand towards her. "Want to go for a walk?" She smiled grabbing my hand and immediately swinging while we walked. We walked for an hour just talking about life. When there were breaks in the conversation I often found her staring at the stars.

"Follow me." I said pulling her behind me. We ran to a field away from the town. I flopped onto the grass laughing. Merella soon followed laughing as she fell. I wrapped my arm around her shoulders and stared into the night sky. She pointed out a couple stars smiling with pure joy. I looked at her and I could feel that joy radiating off of her. I pulled her close and kissed her. I pulled back to make sure she was ok with it and when she nodded I continued. I flipped so that I was on top of her body and put my arm next to her head pinning her to the ground. I kissed her passionately on her neck and behind her ears. She gasped at the feeling.

I quickly stopped after feeling her start to shiver. "Mer are you ok?" I asked.

She nodded "Yeah I am, just shocking." I smirk and continued to kiss her. Her hands ran through my hair which drove me crazy. She pulled my shirt to make me kiss her. Then she pulled me down next to her and hugged me tightly. "Te quiero." She whispered into my chest.

My heart skipped a few beats. I hugged her even tighter. "I love you too." I felt her smile softly. We laid there in that field until the moon was high in the sky. I looked down at Mer sleeping and quickly put my jacket over her shoulders. Then I fell asleep while listening to her heart beat to a rhythm of its own.
