Chapter 33: The Light In The Dark

(Turbo's POV)

That punch hurt. I got out of the building I was punched into. I looked at the giant of a man that hit me. I think I heard him call himself Horror. I saw the black symbols on his body grow slightly in size.

Chris: Turbo! Are you ok?!

Turbo: Yeah, I'm fine.

Horror: You're still alive? I'm surprised. You're Turbo, right? What do you think-

I quickly ran behind him and punched him in the back of the head. His body didn't move at all and he didn't flinch.

Horror: -you can do?

He turned around and tried to punch me. I quickly dodged his punch and grabbed Chris. I ran several yards away. I put Chris down.

Turbo: Get out of here Chris. This dude is dangerous.

Chris: Are you sure?

Turbo: I know this might sound mean, but you'll only get in the way. I don't want anything bad happening to you.

Chris looked down at the ground. He nodded his head and started to run away. I smiled to myself.

Turbo: He should be fine, for now at least.

Horror turned his head to look at me. He put a wicked smile on his face.

Horror: What Turbo? Aren't you going to call for help? You usual do that by now. I figured you would've, considering the only thing you're known for is speed.

I looked down at my watch and saw several Heroes nearby. Let's see, there's Mental, Rocker, and-

Horror: Don't you dare take your eyes off me!

I looked up and saw Horror's fist a couple centimeters away from my face. I ran past Horror. I turned around and jumped up at him. I kicked the back of his head. Horror grabbed my leg and threw me into a nearby building. I fell down to the street. I tried to get up, but Horror stomped his foot on me.

Turbo: AAAAHHH!!!

Horror: I'm sorry, did I break something?

I felt something snap. That can't be good. Horror lifted his foot up, getting ready to slam it down on me again.

Horror: Some Hero you turned out to be!

I saw his foot about to slam on me again, but a purple colored barrier stopped his foot.

Horror: What is this?

A purple aura surrounded Horror, sending him flying away. I heard two sets of footsteps running up to me. I looked over and saw Chris and Mental.

Mental: I'm glad I got here just in time.

I didn't see her mouth move, so she must have said that telepathically.

Mental: Turbo, your spine is fractured. I think you should stay out of this now.

Mental started to float and she dashed forward, going to Horror. Chris ran up to me and put my arm around his shoulder, helping me stand.

Chris: Are you ok Turbo? I found Mental nearby and told her to go over to you.

Turbo: Thanks kid, you just saved my life... And my spine.

I groaned. Chris gasped and started to check on me.

Turbo: Don't worry about me, just a little back pain.

I looked ahead and saw Mental making a purple bubble around Horror.

Mental: Why are you attacking Heroes?
