Chapter 108: A Struggle For One Attack

(Aurora's POV)

I saw Rival find a good open area. Me, Drake, Mel, Minerva, Amy, and Horace all are surrounding him. We are all spread out and are about 10 feet away from Rival. I noticed Amethyst watching the scene from a distance.

(Y/N): Alright, all you have to do is land a hit on my physical body. Even if I block an attack, you win. And don't hold back.

Aurora: Is that all?

(Y/N): No... I won't be holding back.

Horace: W-Won't be holding back?!

Mel: Father, are you sure about that?

He stayed silent for a moment before pointing at his chest, to the red infinity symbol.

(Y/N): This symbol is the symbol of a villain. For this, I want you all to view me as one. Villains don't hold back against Heroes and I don't want you all to hold back either.

I can tell, Rival is really serious about this. I looked over at everyone else.

Mel: Everyone, we are going to need to work together to even get lucky enough to win this.

Aurora: Then let me make the first move!

Darkness surrounded me as I shot out a small blast of dark energy. Rival dodged the blast, making it go past him. The blast hit the ground and turned into a ball and stayed there. Rival pointed a finger at me and a beam of energy came out of it. I couldn't change to use light in time, but I noticed a yellow aura surrounded my body and I appeared somewhere else.

Horace: Are you ok?

I saw that I'm standing next to Horace. He used his Power to send me to a previous location I've been to.

Aurora: Thanks.

Mel: Aurora! Switch to using your light!

I just nodded and managed to do so. I'm not sure what the plan is quite yet, but I'll need to follow along. I saw Rival disappear from sight with high speed, making a bunch of leaves that is on the ground to get kicked up into the air. I felt a powerful strike to my stomach, knocking me back. I saw that everyone else got knocked back too at seemingly the same time. I gasped out in pain, but I landed on a tree. I quickly looked around, trying to find Rival.

Minerva: Horace! Mel! Use your Powers to put father in a previous position!

Horace: I've been trying to do that! But-

I saw Rival appear behind Horace.

(Y/N): That trick doesn't work on someone like me.

Horace quickly jumped up into the air. Rival appeared in front of Horace and punched him in the stomach. Horace gasped out. Rival grabbed onto Horace's hoodie and threw him down to the ground.

Horace: Agh! H-He's up in the air! Now's our chance!

I saw Drake jump up and start to breathe a bunch of fire at Rival. Rival made a bubble of energy around him, blocking the fire. Amy got behind the bubble and put her blood on it. Mel grabbed onto Amy and Drake and a yellow aura surrounded them before they disappeared from the air. Amy turned her blood into energy, covering Rival's bubble.

Aurora: Did that break it?

Mel: No, it couldn't. Not enough blood. It's to obscure his vision.

Minerva: All we need to do is land an attack.

Minerva opened a portal and Drake started to breathe a bunch of red flames through it. I looked back to where Rival was and noticed a huge burst of flames.
