Chapter 70: Blood Connection

(Ashley's POV)

I was running down the streets, dodging dark energy that tried to attack me. I saw some energy jump at me, but I jumped back. The energy moved up, about to hit me, but some red energy destroyed the dark energy. I landed on the ground.

Ashley: That energy, it has to be (Y/N)!

Katie: Not quite.

I looked back and saw Katie using (Y/N)'s Power.

Ashley: Oh Katie. I wasn't expecting you. Did you already deal with your Shadow Copy?

Katie: Yes I did. I'm just trying to help out people in the meantime. I actually went past Ivy a little bit ago and she dealt with her copy as well.

Ashley: Oh you two are amazing! I have to hurry up and fall behind then.

Katie: Good luck with your Shadow Copy.

Ashley: Absolutely! If you can do it, then I will be able to!

Katie jumped away, leaving a trail of red energy behind before it faded away. I heard some footsteps behind me. I looked back and saw my Shadow Copy running at me.

Ashley: I didn't think you would come to me!

It tried to attack me, but I jumped back. A knife made out of dark energy formed in my copy's hand and it pointed the knife at me.

Shadow Ashley: Where is he?

It can talk? If Dave's can talk, then I guess there isn't a reason mine shouldn't.

Ashley: Who are you talking about?

Shadow Ashley: Don't play dumb. (Y/N)! I saw his energy here! Now stop hiding him from me!

I took a step back as I can see a look of insanity on my Shadow Copy. Is this really how I acted back then? I really need to apologize to everyone again.

Ashley: (Y/N) isn't here.

Shadow Ashley: Then I'll have to get rid of you and find him!

It ran at me. I tried to get away, but it slashed at my arm, making blood spill out from my body. I quickly used my Power on my blood and formed a knife. I made it go into my hand and I clashed it with my copy's knife. My copy kicked me back. I managed to stay on my feet.

Ashley: This is getting crazy. How did (Y/N) and Grace fight against this?

I threw my blood knife at my copy. It dodged it, but I made the blood knife turn to go towards the copy. My knife went through its head and returned to my hand.

Shadow Ashley: That won't stop me! It won't stop my love! I'll reach (Y/N)!

It's head returned to normal as it ran at me. I jumped up, but my copy raised its hand at me. I felt the knife I was holding get pulled down, sending me down too. My copy tried to slash at me, but I turned the knife into a shield. I blocked the slash. I pushed my copy back. I threw my shield at the Shadow Copy. It caught the shield and threw it back at me. I jumped up and landed on it, using my Power to make it fly away with me on it.

Ashley: Now I can have some distance from it.

I looked back and saw my copy doing the same thing with some dark energy, riding it and slowly catching up to me.

Ashley: Please give me a second to breathe!

Shadow Ashley: And let you take air that should only be for me and (Y/N)?! I won't let that happen!

My copy made a bunch of sharp pieces of dark energy and threw them at me. I dodged some of them, but some did scrap against my skin, making me bleed. I grunted from the pain. I took a few deep breaths and collected all the blood that was escaping my body.
