Ten

"Morning" I smiled at the receptionist of SGP as I walked through the front doors signing myself in for an early morning start.

I walked into the gym the music already blaring as Phil was cycling on the bike warming up for our 1 to 1 session since he was just back from an injury.

"Morning Chlo you alright" Phil jumped from the bike and pulled me into a hug

"How are you" asked looking down at his leg that had recently been causing him the issues

"I'm getting there just glad to be back in the gym" he nodded as he got back to what he had previously been doing

I spent about 2 hours with Phil doing light drills and stretches before we sat down on the mats for the last half hour before everyone else came in to catch up.

"So you and stones then eh, iv heard all about it" he teased as he nudged me slightly causing me to topple over onto my side

"There is nothing to tell we are just friends" I laughed reaching out for phils arm as he pulled me back to my sitting position

"So your still single then" Phil winked

"Are you flirting with me Foden"  I laughed blushing slightly

"I might be" he hung his head and laughed to himself

Just then we heard the door open and a swarm of excitable footballers filled the room gathering round Dan and Lilly for the morning briefing that me and Phil where not apart of.

I watched on as I could see John glancing over at me and Phil every so often as we joked around in the corner of the room.

Eventually me and Phil where finished for the day as I made my way out to the office I shared with both Dan and Lils to Finnish up some paper work.

I spent a couple hours in my own little world finishing off all the loose ends before we headed to Spain with the team tomorrow.

I left the office walking past the medical room when I noticed John's tattooed leg laying down on one of the benches, I pushed open the double doors walked over to where John was laying his arms lay over his face as he was clearly in destress

"John.. what happened" I asked placing my hand on his shoulder as he removed his arms from his face, his facial expressions confirming he was in pain

"I was running out in the field and felt something pop" he sighed and flinched slightly as the girl physio lifted his leg to examine the back of his thigh

I wrapped my arms round John's neck without thinking pulling him into my chest as kissed his temple.

I pulled away realising we where not the only ones in the room.

"I'll be back in a minute I need to just go and get something from the other room" the physio announced before walking out the room

"I can't believe I just done that" I laughed covering my eyes with my hands as I replayed my previous actions in my head

"I'm glad you did I needed it" John laughed wiping the tears from his eyes

"You know what would make it feel a bit better" he said as I raised my eye brows at him waiting for him to speak again

"A kiss" he pouted his bottom lip

I carefully placed my hand on John's cheek as I leant down placing a gentle kiss on his lips as John grabbed the collar of my training top pulling me back for another.

I jumped slightly as the door swung open again the physio re entering the room.

" I will see you in a bit" I nodded awkwardly and left the room as quickly as I could my cheeks bright red with embarrassment

I walked back into the gym where Lilly was tidying up after today's session

"Hey babe get everything done" she asked as I nodded my head

"I just saw John" I sighed as Lilly gave me a half hearted smile

"Heard it's a bad one"

"Yeah he's in a lot of pain" I told her thinking back to his face as he lay on the bed

Eventually Lilly was finished putting everything away as she was done for the day and got ready to go home.

I was finished too but I didn't want to leave yet until I knew John was ok

I walked back into the office where Dan was now sitting at his desk typing something up on his laptop

"You not away home yet" he asked confused as I walked into the office

"Not yet just need to Finnish something off" I told him as I sat down and opened my lap top

At the same time Dan closed his and leaning back in his chair he crossed his arms

"Im guessing this has to do with what happened to John earlier" he asked

I looked over at Dan with a shocked look on my face.. how did he know Lilly told me to keep it a secret as Dan wouldn't be happy

"I'm not buttoned up the back Chlo I find out everything" he smiled making me feel more at ease

"Just promise me you won't let this get in the way of your work , you have so much potential to go on and do amazing things and I don't want it affecting John's performance either we can't afford to loose him" Dan told me with a serious look on his face

" I promise" I told him as I couldn't think of anything else to say

"Now go see him and get home, we have an early morning flight to catch" he said as he threw a stress ball in my direction that I managed to dodge

"See you in the morning Dan.. and thank you" I smiled at him before putting my lap top in my bag and heading back down the corridor

I eventually found John alone in the changing room scrolling through his phone with and ice pack strapped to his thigh

"How you doing" I asked sitting down on the bench next to him as he locked his phone

"We won't know how serious it is until we get to Spain and I can have someone take a proper look at it" he sighed I could see the frustration in his face

He began to pack his things into his bag as we both walked out to our cars, John hobbled out throwing his bags into the back of his car.

"How about we go for a milk shake will that cheer you up" I smiled at him

"No but spending time with you might" he laughed locking his car and making his way over to mine and jumping in the passenger seat

"Now we are going to do a carpool karaoke and I'm not taking no for an answer" I told him plugging in my phone and picking us a play list to sing along to

"What would I do without you" John grabbed my thigh squeezing it tightly as I began to drive out of the training ground

We spent about 3 hours singing along and driving around with our milkshakes laughing at each other when I finally pulled up outside John's house

"Do you want to come in for a bit" John asked

"I would love to but I have so much to do before tomorrow I need to go home" I told him

John stuck out his bottom lip but nodded his head

"That's fine al see you in the morning then yeah" he said before leaning over and planting a kiss on my lips

"Thanks for today you seriously cheered me up" he pulled me in again before existing the car and hobbling down his drive way.

After another 10 mins of driving I eventually made it to my house noticing Kyle's car parked in our drive way which was strange as he never brought his car here incase anyone found out where he was.
