Twenty three

I woke up around 9am the next morning covered in only Johns t shirt that had been round his body last night, I looked over to my left to see John laying on his back sleeping peacefully his mouth slightly open.

I smiled pulling back the covers gently not to wake him as I tiptoed down stairs to get us some water.

I opened the fridge door slightly grabbing out 2 cold bottles of water, I jumped as I closed it and discovered Declan standing on the other side of it.

"Declan you scared me" I laughed holding a hand over my chest

"Sorry Chlo was just getting some water" he rubbed his eyes clearly feeling as bad as I was

I opened the fridge again pulling out a bottle of water handing it to Declan who ran his hand over mine before taking the water and lifting it to his lips.

"Are you okay dec" I asked as he shuffled slightly on his feet

"Yea.. I mean no... actually I don't know" he rubbed his temples before leaning both his elbows down on the kitchen counter resting his head on them

"What's wrong tell me" I was concerned something was clearly bothering him

"I don't know how to say it" he whispered just loud enough for me to hear

"Your scaring me dec" I chucked trying to pry it from him

"Since Spain I have had this feeling I just can't shake, this feeling every time you walk into a room my heart flutters a little" he looked up at me to gage my reaction

"I don't know what to say dec" I started but he quickly interrupted me

"You don't have to say anything, I know you don't have any feelings for me and I know it's wrong for me to feel this way about you but I can't help it" he sighed deeply before continuing

"It's not fair on Lauren either" he ran his hands through his hair

"Listen dec I love you, but I love you as my friend... I'm so thankful for the way you where there for me when shit hit the fan with John in Spain and I should never have lead you on the way I did, I'm starting to see real hope for me and John this time and I just don't want to mess that up" i told him rubbing his back

"Don't worry I will never tell anyone what happened, all I want is for you to be happy and it's me who needs to get this out my head" he advised

"I'm here dec, whenever you need me no matter what it's about al always be here for you as a friend" I smiled as he giggled slightly pulling me into a hug

"It's your fault for being so god damn beautiful" he chucked into my hair

"Lauren is a good girl, don't hurt her" I told him before kissing his cheek lightly and grabbing the bottles of water before heading back upstairs

"Morning" John groaned from his place in the bed as I climbed back in

I reached over to placed his water on the bedside table beside him as he grabbed my leg bringing it over his body so I was now sat up right straddling him

"I will never get bored of having you on top of me like this" he grinned wildly as I leaned down pressing a small kiss onto his lips

"Your cheeky stones" I smiled flipping my hair over my shoulder the t shirt that hung from me lifted to show the very bottom of my stomach as I stretched

John rested his hands on my stomach before slowly moving them round my back pulling me down to him

I rested my head in the crook of his neck as he moved his hands to my bum leaving them there as he took a deep breath

"I'm so hungover" he moaned into my ear as giggled slightly

"We drank so much last night" I laughed thinking back to the hours we spent in the living room drinking with our friends

"And there was literally no drama" he smiled as I sat back up looking down at him

"I know surprisingly" I told him as I jumped off reaching over for my bottle of water and taking a swig

"What time did everyone leave" John asked

"I'm not sure dec and Lauren must have stayed I saw him in the kitchen while I was getting there" I pointed to the bottle

John pulled out his phone as the screen lit up I watched him type away before placing it back on the stand, I reached for the tv remote turning it on.

A couple minutes later the door knocked gently before dec and Lauren appeared

"Morning love birds" dec smiled before taking a seat at the bottom of the bed Lauren joining him

"I'm sure mason has some bird in his bed you know" dec announced

My eyes instantly widened at his words

"Mason has a girl in my spare room" I made a sick face at the thought of them getting it on in my house

"Should we go wake him" John went to jump from the bed before realising he had nothing on at all my

"Emmm both of you shut your eyes" John pointed to the two at the bottom of the bed Lauren chuckled slightly before covering her eyes with her hands

"Stones it's not like I haven't seen it before" dec said with his eyes squeezed closed

I looked over to dec with a confused look on my face as did Lauren as John finally pulled his boxers up

"What we both play football together"

"I don't even want to know" I told Declan before the 4 of us made our way down the hall

John and Dec stood outside the spare bedroom counting down from three and then burst through the door, I was at the back so could only see the mop or hair laying on the pillow

John was first to walk out the room grabbing my hand and pulling me back to my bedroom

"Who is it" I asked curios by his reaction

"It's Maya" John rolled his eyes he grabbed onto my waist pulling me down into the bed again

"Will you tickle my back" John looked up at me with puppy dog eyes

I huffed but he turned round as I ran my nails up and down his back, why was he acting so unbothered that his ex was literally with one of his team mates in the next room

I could hear them giggling from my bedroom as the door was still wide open, John moved himself closer to me and grabbed my leg pulling it over him as he stroked my leg gently

"Okay play with my hair now" John insisted as I rolled my eyes behind him

"Your so needy do you know that" I laughed at him as Declan and Lauren re entered the room, I watched as mason and Maya followed them she stopped briefly shooting me and John a dirty look before continuing to the stairs.

"Did she genuinely just stare me out in my own houses" I giggled

Lauren also rolled her eyes at the girl who was now making her way out my front door

"She's jealous babes ignore her" Lauren said
Johns grip tightened on my leg as I continued to run my hands through his hair when mason appeared in the door way.
