Eighteen

It had been a couple weeks since the trip to Spain and we where now back in London and back to work as usual.

Since returning I had put all my energy into my work, with the international season coming to an end I had been contacted by the Man City fitness team and asked to go for a 2 month trial with the first team.

Lilly had secured her job back with Chelsea FC where she had worked for the last 4 years.

"To us" Lilly lifted her glass as me and Kyle both clinked ours with hers.

Kyle was still living with us and still looking for his own place, we where sat in the kitchen eating our dinner and discussing our up coming plans.

" So are you excited to join the city family then" kyle asked

"Yeah I am but I'm so nervous" I told him

"Don't worry about it, we all love you at England and I'm pretty sure they will all love you at city" he announced

"Aww thanks walks, but why are you being so nice" I laughed as he picked up a carrot from his plate and threw it in my direction

"I don't actually know because I hate you" we all giggled

"I'm so proud of you Chloe you have worked so hard for this and you deserve it so much" Lilly announced as she began welling up

"Aaaand that's enough wine for you" kyle laughed picking up Lilly's wine glass and pretending to move it out her reach before placing it back down beside her

We sat round the table for a couple more hours reflecting on the last couple months, eventually Kyle made his way to the living room to watch the football highlights and myself and Lilly tidied up the kitchen.

"Still not spoke to John then" she asked as I shook my head

"Not a word" I laughed as Lilly rolled her eyes

"Yous both so madly in love I don't know why yous can't just kiss and make up" she said

"AGREE" kyle shouted from the living room as I rolled my eyes again at them both

"The ball is in his corner he's the one who ended things with me but it would take alot for me to trust him again anyway" I told them both

Once me and Lilly finished in the kitchen we decided to go a drive just the two of us to get milkshakes for us all.

Lilly told Kyle our plans as she grabbed her keys and we headed for the door, as I pulled open the front door I walked straight into someone about to ring our doorbell

"Shit sorry" I looked up to see John looking absolutely flawless as he stood in front of me dressed in a plain black tracksuit and his hair flopped perfectly over his forehead

"Oh hey Chlo I'm just here to see Kyle" he said awkwardly

I nodded stepping aside to let him into the house as he walked past Lilly in the hallway.

"Oh hey John we are just nipping for milkshakes you want one" she asked

"Chocolate please" he smiled at her looking towards the front door at me as I rolled my eyes and walked out into the drive to wait for Lilly

"What the fuck is he doing here" I asked Lilly as I pulled open the car door

She laughed as she pulled on her seat belt and headed off to collect the milk shakes.

After a short drive there an back we entered the house I walked into the living room handing Kyle his milk shake as he lay across the couch John slumped on the other.

I walked over to the other side of the couch where Kyle sat and pulled the phone charger up and plugged it into my phone, my phone had full battery but I didn't want to sit beside John, very petty I know.

We sat round and chatted for a couple hours chatting, i chimed in now and then when questions where asked but stayed relatively silent.

I was scrolling through my phone not really paying attention to the conversation when my phone buzzed in my hand

                                  I message

Johnnnny: how long you going to stay mad at me :(

Me: I'm not mad at you I'm just annoyed at the whole situation

Johnny: I'm going to leave in a minute! Will you come meet me on the corner in half an hour and we can go for a drive and chat?

Me: I don't know John, how many times are we going to do this

Johnny: this is the last time I promise

I glanced up from my phone looking at him for the first time tonight and nodded my head slyly.

John stood from the couch a couple minutes later announcing he was going home as he said his goodbyes to Lilly and Kyle.

Kyle showed him to the door

"Well that was fkn awkward" Lilly laughed as I rolled my eyes at her before standing from the couch

"I can't believe he just strolled in here like nothing has happened" I laughed

"He just can't stay away from you" Lilly announced as she fixed the cushions she once was sitting on.

Lilly and Kyle headed to bed just after John left, I pulled on my puffer jacket and slid on my shoes before silently opening the front door and heading down the road, it was a cold night the pavements damp where the rain had hit, I turned the corner and spotted johns head lights shining onto the road as I walked towards his car. 

I pulled open the door of his Range Rover before jumping in the warm passenger seat

"Hi" John smiled over at me

"Hi" I glanced back as he pulled out of his parking space and began driving along the road.

" listen I want to start by saying I'm sorry" he glanced over to me and back at the road

I breathed deeply taking in his words as he hesitantly waited for me to speak

"I don't know what to say John, you've really hurt me this time" I told him bowing my head to look down at my hands

"I know I'm such an idiot and I get I have hurt you that was the last thing I wanted to do especially to you" he sighed as he pulled into a secluded car park turning off his engine and facing me

"You made me feel like I had done something wrong for trying to be there for you while you where going through a shit time" I told him

"And I'm an idiot for that, I haven't stopped thinking about you and the way I treated you in Spain, it wasn't acceptable at all I don't know what was wrong with me and these last couple of weeks have made me realise what I have lost" John sighed as I felt the tears fill my eyes

"You made me think I was good enough for you, that i was the one you wanted and then you ripped my heart right out of my chest" I let the tears fall eventually as there was no holding them back

"You always will be the one I want Chloe, the way you make me feel and the fact I can't get you out of my head ever has proved to me that your the only one I want and I won't stop until I get you back"

A/N OMG guys city won the league again!!!!!!! Did anyone see the live stream of the bus parade? John was sooooo drunk hahaha I'm going to include the league win into this story so please let me know what you all think so far... love u all
