Arc 4 Chapter 4.5 ( The Prince and The Eunuch )

Eunuch Chūn , Doze's avatar smiled at the serious looking seven years old child writing seriously on the peace of paper . He was chosen as the tutor for all the imperial prince of the Qiang Imperial Family . He had been promoted into the court already and served the emperor loyally . He was tasked to teach all the prince three years ago and now got the approval of the five imperial princes .

The tutor that taught the Crown Prince has already died due to old age and Doze replaced his place .

But Doze was not devoted to him and was neutral in front of all the princes . However , Eunuch Official Chūn unexpectedly favored the third prince .

The crown prince and other princes was so jealous that even Qiang Quiyue could feel their glares on his body . A red glint flashed unnoticeably within his eyes and secretly glared back at the hostile princes .

' how dare you stare at my body? '

Qiang Quiyue put down his book and stared at them silently , recieving the glares openly and calmly. The scene of the seven years old kid sweeping his eyes over the bodies of his older and younger brothers entered the eyes of the Eunuch Official but did not bother them and just watched with interest .

Slowly , the glaring teenagers felt uncomfortable maintaining their eye contact . Their faces eventually turned stiff and turned awkward .

Suddenly , a mocking and disdaining look faintly appeared on his face . The princes detected the strange curve on the third prince's lips and strange uncomfortable gaze that originated from his eyes that they thought was glowing red . They didn't know if they were hallucinating or it was just because of the sun illumination but they noticed that the black irises are turning light and there's a hint of red hue on it .

That pair of eyes were particularly strange , as if it was no longer an eyes of a human but instead from a demonic being . Yet they faintly felt it was demonically looked charming and ... seductive . They don't why that word could be used to describe a kid's eyes .

But who would regard this genius prince as a normal kid?

" You ... " The second prince wanted to say something but was stopped by the crown prince .

The crown prince whispered to him . " I feel like he is not the same with us ... He's so strange ... As if he is not a child like us "

The 6th prince who is still five years old joined . " You noticed it too? "

The second prince removed his gaze from the third prince and whispered back . " He's creepy and weird "

The third prince suddenly smiled to them , as if he could hear them . The three princes immediately stepped back in horror , the crown prince was more calm but if one looked closely from the sleeves of the teenager . You could see his clenched fist trembling .

The three princes immediately put their books into their bag and excused themselves . " Were done "

" Yes , I'm already tired . Let's g-go play . "

" U-unn "

They left the room in a hurried manner leaving Eunuch Chūn and Prince Quiyue behind .

Qiang Quiyue pursed his lips in an amused manner and stared knowingly at the door . Eunuch Chūn sighed and put down the ink he was grinding .

" You are scaring the little princes , your highness . "

Qiang Quiyue didn't feel offended and instead calmly lifted the brush in his hands and started writing notes on a blank book .

" It's not my fault that they are cowardly and couldn't even withstand a mere child's small intimidation . They couldn't even withstand the silence's pressure . "
