Northern Niption Empire _
Captain Antoño Reyes squinted his eyes as he watched the camp of the enemy far away from them . He commanded about four platoons with a maximum of two hundred soldiers . Right now , they are in the first step to colonize the Eastern Prosperous Empire.
Today is already the first week of the war and this is only a warm up for the high ranking officials who commanded from behind .
As an aspiring soldier who wants to achieve big merits , Captain Antoño naturally doesn't want to do this battle half-heartedly . He always watched and observed the behaviour of the other camp .
The camp of the Eastern Empire has the same strength as them and both has the same amount of soldiers. It was clear that the latter's ability to collect information couldn't be underestimated .
" Prepare for the first wave of battle this afternoon. Colonel Diego wants us to eliminate as many soldiers as we can and lessen their numbers . "
The second lieutenant , platoon leader Troy nodded and went to call the squad leaders and prepare all the soldiers to wear their armor .
Captain Antoño stared at the map of their battle location and bit his lips .
The easterners unexpectedly has a lot of natural trenches that is very advantageous in a war. Their empire has long been coveted by their emperor , because of their natural fortress environment and they wanted to own it and colonize western kingdom after this war finished .
Eastern Camp _
" Major Liu , the scout squad has detected movements from the other camp . "
The face of the officer immediately turned serious and shouted . " Defend! "
The whole troop immediately readied their shields while the archers started drawing their bows .
Major stared intensely at the prepared seige weapons of the other camp .
" Watch out for the ballista's giant arrows and balls of rocks. "
They already knew about that . A few minutes later , the Northerner's attack started . Sharp sounds of arrows being released resonated one after another as a solemn atmosphere gradually enveloped the battle area .
Numbers of the wounded soldiers keep on rising as their numbers were slowly about to drain . They cannot engage to melee with the enemy because of their lack of weapons and supply of medicines .
" Use the smoke screening . " Major Liu commanded .
A squad leader heeded his command immediately went out and created smoke screens that hindered the sight of the enemy .
" I'll go climb up a tree , fire to the direction of my index fingers . "
Major Liu immediately climb up a tree from the blind spot of the enemy camp's vision .
The troop waited for Major Liu's index finger and saw that he was pointing to 3 o'clock direction . Archers immediately fired at their front right side and fired .
" Squad no. 2! 12 o'clock!! "
On the other side , a bit of panic flashed on the surface of Captain Antoño's face when the smoke screen appeared in the battlefield .
But he was confused why is the other camp could still target their soldiers .
" Defend! "
All of the northerner soldiers crouch down and put their shield at the front to block the enemy's arrows .
