Chapter 23: What did I Ever Do To Diane? pt 1

Amber's mom eventually called us down for dinner and we had Roasted chicken with broccoli and we all ate in silence. After about twenty minutes everyone was done eating and Amber went up stairs and I followed her.I saw she went to her room and I knocked on the door and said "can I come in?" and she just nodded and I came in and laid on her bed next to her. I said " thank you for defending me" and she said "no one deserves to be treated like that especially by someone like her" and I hugged her and then said " I love you so much". She kissed me and said " I'll always be your protector" and I smile at that and eventually we both fell asleep.Her alarm went off around 7:30 and I got up,took a shower and got dressed and I just worse some black ripped jeans and a white T shirt I went downstairs and Amber's mom made waffles and said "good morning honey" and I said good morning and sat down and started eating. After I was done I went upstairs and gave Amber a kiss and then me and her mom walked to the car and we went to school.

I got to school and I saw Evan waiting for me and he said "you ready to do this" and I said " yeah let's do it" we both walked into the school and walked to English.We saw Diane's friends and they just looked at me and then looked away but something was weird they looked sympathetic. Ms.Arthur said we have to work in groups of four and we picked our groups well Bianca and Claire wanted to work with me and Evan and that was surprising but we worked with them anyway. We were just studying some new words and had to quiz each other on them and which we were looking over the words Claire said "I'm sorry for what Diane said to you" I looked up and said "what? shouldn't you be yelling at me right now?" and she said "we just do that because Diane wants us to we really like you" and me and Evan said at the same time "really?" and they nodded."What did I ever do to her?" You really don't remember?" I said "no" and Bianca said "it's a long story"
