Chapter Nine:
"I thought we talked that you are not allowed to sit on me."
At the current moment, Tyler was on my lap. Very heavy. And he was enjoying every moment. Oh! Did I mention we were stranded on the side of the road? In a hot van. Not my idea of a road trip. Even if that road trip was going to a funeral.
"No, you talked. I didn't listen or comprehend." He made a smart remark.
"Okay. Well listen now. Tyler Jonothan Monroe, you are not to sit on my lap!" I pushed his back and he fell to the floor of the van.
"Whoa! Using full names, are we? Alison I-don't-know-your-middle-name Bleu, I will do whatever I want."
"Marie." I said.
"What?" He asked me.
"My middle name. Marie." I shrugged.
"Oh, well. Alison Marie Bleu, I will do whatever I want." He sat back on my lap.
"Okay." I waited a few seconds and screamed.
"Ali!" Beca, Hunter, and Zach said simultaneously.
I shrugged. "He won't get off me." I pointed to the jerk on my lap.

After we got the Tyler problem solved, a tow truck showed up. And, was the guy was hot.
He was twenty and trying to earn money to travel the world. I'll admit, I flirted with him a little. With my bad boy right there. But so did Beca.
He fixed the engine and then took us to a gas station.
When he left I asked Tyler, "Can I have some money? I'm parched."
He handed me the money and I bought a coke. The cold liquid soothed my dry throat. Once I got back outside, I found that everyone was ready to go. I sat next to Beca, and the ride was quiet except for the radio until...
"Riing." My phone went off.
I checked the caller ID and scowled. "I'm not gonna answer this." I handed it to Hunter.
He looked at the screen and he threw it at me. I caught it and accidentally clicked answer. Stupid touch screen. I mouthed 'I hate you,' to Hunter and put the phone to my ear. "Hello."
"Alison! Where are you? The service is about to start. You have ten minutes." My mother nagged me.
"We're here. Sorta. We have to park, bye." I hung up before she could yell at me more.
"Ice queen." I mumbled under my breath. "Come on, Becs. I need you to hold up the towel so I can change."
Beca grumbled something that sounded like, "why do I have to hold the damn towel?"
"What?" I called and poked my head over the towel.
"Oh, nothing. Just said it's so much fun to hold the damn towel." She smiled sweetly at me.
"Suure." I dragged the word out as I shimmied my black dress over my hips.
I grabbed the towel from Beca and threw it into the back. I walked past Tyler to sit down, when Zach decided to yank the wheel. I landed in Tyler's lap, of course.
"I wouldn't mind that dress going up a little higher." Tyler rubbed the bare skin of my thighs, where my dress had ridden up.
I shivered and slapped his hands away. "Very funny."
"Come on, you two lovebirds. We have three minutes to get out back." Beca called inside.
I stood up and dragged Tyler out of the van with me. We all pretty much ran to get there in time.
