My name is Rosa Ortega, I'm 15 years old. I have a twin brother named Miguel, and we live with our father, mother, and aunt.

I take care of my Tía because she is very sick, and my mother and father work all day to raise money for her medicine. I have a small business, Miguel helps me out with it. I make dresses for little girls, women, and old ladies of the village!

Tía Maria has always cared so much for me since I was little, but two years ago she got sick with a disease even I do not know of. To return the favor, I'm nursing her while we try to help Tía get better.

"Here, Tía, have some water." I forced a weak smile as she sat up to drink, when suddenly my mother called for Miguel and I to come downstairs into the kitchen. "Lay back down when you finish, I'll be right back!" I jolted out of the room, not wanting my parents to wait much.

"What do you need, Mama?" Miguel asked as I reached the bottom of the stairs, he had made it down before me.

"To start..." Papí paused, looking to our mother.

"Rosa, word of your business has reached other villages in Columbia, and we came up with a way for you to make more money for your aunt." Miguel and I looked at each other in excitement, but it quickly faded hearing what we needed to do. "You both will be traveling to the village named Encanto- it is not far from here."

"Mamí, Papí!" I soon shouted, causing the adults to cover their ears for a second. "Are you really sending us away? Who's going to take care of Tía Maria?!"

"We knew you'd be concerned for my sister, but your Mamí will take care of her while I continue working." Papí had a stern look on his face, I really don't want to leave them.

"And you will be staying with a woman called Alma Madrigal, just look for her, and you'll enjoy your stay." Mamí added.

"I think it's for the best of both your business and Tía, Rosa." Miguel chimed in, causing my eyebrows to furrow.

"I refuse, you absolutely cannot separate me from Tía Maria when she's this sick.."

"How did I end up here?!" I shouted at the backpack on Miguel, sweating and panting like crazy.

Miguel chuckled, "I know you don't want to do this, but please, just remember it's for Tía." I just scoffed, I want to go home already. "If you don't like it after, let's say two weeks, we can head back. Deal?"
