3. It's Beautiful

"I'm sorry you don't have a gift like your family... But I think that makes you special." I smile at Mirabel after she told me her story. "And you are the reason your casita is back and everyone else's gift... So I believe you're super special." I try cheering Mirabel up, and she looks happier.

I can't believe I'm already talking so much to her, it just feels kinda.. natural. "Thank you, I actually enjoyed telling you that story." Mirabel stood up from her bed, "Wanna go somewhere special? It's very beautiful there."

I nodded in response, wondering if Camilo showed me this place or not. "It's getting pretty late, though..." I sighed, it was already almost pitch black outside.

"That's fine, it just makes it even prettier." She smiles at me, "Wanna go with one or two more of my family members?"

"Sure, but who?" I turned around as two of Mirabel's cousins appear, opening the door.

"Hola bonita, I shall come with you." I blush a bit as I get a compliment from a second Mirabel, but I quickly realize it's Camilo.

"Knock it off Camilo," Dolores elbowed him before Camilo turned back into himself. "Mirabel invited us to come when dinner started, I hope you don't mind." She smiled at me.

"And since I'm obviously her favorite cousin, of course I have to come for Mirabel." Camilo smirked as Mirabel rolled her eyes, I just chuckled a bit. I've really enjoyed the little time I've spent with these three so far.

"I think we should just go.." Mirabel sighs as she puts some flats on. I quickly head to my room to change my outfit. I put a baby blue dress on, little flower embroidery on the bottom. I took out my earrings, and put white slippers on. I almost looked like a not as fancy Cinderella, but with darker skin and dark brown hair.

When I exit the room, I run into Miguel. "Where are you off to at this time dressed like that?" He questions me, I just shrug and run off, I noticed the three cousins waiting for me down below.

When I made it down the last stair, I dropped where I was holding my dress up as to not trip while going down to them. "Should I have invited your brother?" Mirabel asks, I just shake my head.

"I... don't want to invite him." I looked at my feet, starting to feel bad. I just didn't want to force Miguel to be with me 24/7 in Encanto.

We soon arrived at a location Camilo didn't take me to, and he looked as confused as I did to walk past a bunch of trees.

"Are we there yet??" Camilo whined, causing Mirabel to scoff.

"Just have a bit of patience please.." Mirabel started walking backwards as she faced us. "We're almost there, I know this place like the back of my han-"

Suddenly Mirabel wasn't directly in front of us. "M-Mirabel..?" I quietly said after gasping, running to where Mirabel was originally, Camilo and Dolores following suit.

"Help me up, guys!" Mirabel shouted from the apparent ditch that she fell in, but it was too far down for one of us to just reach our arms out to pull her up.

"Camilo, grab Rosa's hand and don't let go as she goes down to reach for Mirabel's hand. I will hold you back so you don't fall in." I don't know how she did it, but Dolores quickly and calmly came up with the plan. "Rosa is the smallest, so it's best if it's her."

"Alrighty. After you, señorita." Camilo smirks as he reached his hand out for me to grab. I grab it quickly as I start walking towards the ditch, starting to get nervous.

Dolores grabbed onto Camilo as he started to lower me into the ditch. When I got down as far as I could, I was just out of Mirabel's jumping range. "Grab onto my ankle and try pulling yourself up..." I quickly say as my hand started to feel like it was slipping from Camilo's.
