What?

"Is... something wrong?" I looked at my feet, I was finally getting back to a normal life.. But that's selfish of me.

"I just got a letter from your mother, something happened, but it would be better to speak about it in person."

"So.. do I have to go back home now?" I was questioned, starting to feel sad.

"Well, you should go back as soon as possible..." Julieta's soft eyes looked at me, pity filling them. I nodded, turning around.

"Yeah, well thank you... for telling me." I walked out of the kitchen to my room, starting to pack a small backpack.

Finishing what I needed for the walk back home, I heard footsteps from behind me. Turning around, I saw Mirabel looking at me.

"Hey, Rosa.." She said with downwards tilting eyebrows.

"O-oh, hi Mirabel." I lightly smiled at her, hoping she didn't hear that something happened at home.

"I heard... that you're going home." She started to look really sad, causing me to feel worse. I walked up to her, slowly going in for a hug. Without realizing it, she quickly pulled me in.

"D-don't worry... I'll come home as quickly as I can." I pulled away and smiled, Mirabel is one of my closest friends, so I don't want to disappoint her.

"Thank you." She smiled, a tear falling from her eye, causing me to feel really sad. "I'll walk you out of casita." I nodded, and followed her.

We made it to the front doors, and casita opened them. Right before I exited, a name called out to me. I turned around to see Dolores, Isabela and Camilo running to me. "Wait, at least let us say goodbye!" Camilo chuckled, causing me to blush, forgetting to have said goodbye to anyone.

"Right... I'm sorry."

Dolores and Isabela hugged me together, causing me to start tearing up. "Please be safe on your journeys, and come back soon!" Isabela sniffed, pulling away as Dolores was still holding on.

"Don't worry, I bet everything is fine." Dolores whispered in my ear, causing me to feel a bit better. "Also, I can start getting more materials for your shop while you're gone!" She smiled, I chuckled in response.

"Maybe hold off on it until I get back, you don't have to go out of your way for me." I giggled before it was Camilo's turn to say goodbye.

We went in an awkward hug, it was uncomfortable because of everyone watching. "I guess we'll see you soon, amiga." He smiled as we quickly pulled away, both are faces carrying a tiny bit of a pink blush.

"Thank you all... Goodbye." I lightly smiled before turning around to exit casita, ready to see Tía again.

It was a long and stressful walk back home, I almost got lost several times. But I had finally arrived at the front door of my house, too nervous to go in.

Eventually, I gained the courage to open the front door. Walking in, it was dead silent in the house. I walked around the bottom floor, heart racing. I heard nothing but the sound coming from my own chest.

"Is.. anyone here?" I slowly asked, getting more anxious by the minute. Quickly, my heart dropped as I ran to Tía Maria's room.

She wasn't there.

No one's here.

Where is everyone?

"Mamí, Papí, Miguel?" I looked around the second floor, sensing something was very wrong.
