❗️TW❗️: death.

please be kind to yourself.

this is much shorter than my usual chapters, but considering what happens, i wanted to end it there.

Nobody said that it would last forever.
That doesn't mean that we didn't try to get there.
I never said that we would die together.
That doesn't mean it was a lie, remember.
Nobody said that it would last forever.

"What are you going to do to him, master?" Bellatrix asked, and he put a hand up, silencing her.

"That is between me and Harry, Bella." He said simply. He ordered her to leave. Harry gulped, but he decided he wasn't going to let Voldemort see his fear.

"What..." Harry started, and Voldemort looked at him. "What do you want with me, to kill me?"

"You're pretty sure of yourself, aren't you Harry Potter?" He said, a hint of humor, as if this was all funny to him. Harry was looking into red eyes, not truly believing that he was facing Voldemort once more. It was hard to believe it was already one year ago that he'd watched him rise from that chamber pot. One year ago that he'd watched him kill Cedric right in front of him. It felt like it had just happened. Next to Voldemort was a snake that was bigger than any snake he'd ever seen.

"Not at all. But Someone's got to try to do something. You've hurt all these people to get to me... well, here I am." He reached for his wand, and drew it, his heart was racing. This was it. Voldemort was going to kill him. To be honest, he didn't think he'd make it this far anyway. Maybe once he's gone the people he loves won't have to suffer anymore.

"Here you are." He said, smiling maniacally.

"Harry!" Blaise was running up behind him, wand drawn.

"Blaise, I- What the hell are you doing here!? Get out of here now. I mean it, I... leave!" He hadn't taken his eyes off of Voldemort. Before he knew it, all his loved ones were piling in behind him. Draco, Ron, Neville, Hermione, Ginny, Luna, Tyler, His mum, dad, Remus, Sirius, Mary, Peter, even Pansy, plus a lot of other people, some who he knew and some who he didn't know that well from The Order.

"Luna went to get Ron and Hermione, who got me and then we got everyone else. What were you thinking, running off like that!?" Draco said, voice filled with anger. "You stupid, beautiful, brave, ignorant Gryffindor!" Harry smiled but only for a moment, I guess Luna had left out why he thought he had to come here.

"How lovely, you've brought your friends to watch you die. But, you see, I've brought mine as well." Suddenly black and green flashes were coming up all around them and Death Eaters appeared after them. Some he recognized like Bellatrix coming back, Draco's father, Blaise's father, the Carrows and Dolohov. Voldemort must've somehow... managed to control the dementors guarding Azkaban. He couldn't think of any other way that Lucious and Martin would be out. But there were so many other Death Eaters he had no clue who they were.

"Just give up now, Harry Potter. You cannot win." Voldemort seemed calm. As if he didn't have a single worry about how this was going to go down.

"Tom Riddle, you seem to be someone who doesn't like to give up. And unlucky for you, these people with me are not some to go down without a fight." Bellatrix hissed something about disrespect but Voldemort raised his hand to silence her once again.

"It's very foolish of you." He said, lifting his wand.

"No Tom." Harry looked quickly to see who had just joined them, it was Dumbledore. As mixed as his feelings for Dumbledore were at the moment, he knew that Dumbledore was the only wizard that Voldemort was every truly afraid of. "It was foolish of you to come here tonight. You realize that now, everyone will know you've returned."
