Loving you is a sin
At least that's what they taught me
But if to love is to sin,
How come I was happiest when I was with you?Every day, I faced a world of judgment
Tearing me down and criticizing me
Simply because I kept choosing to love youI lose bits of myself each time
I step foot outside our world-
Our world where it was safe
A sanctuary for you and meThey tell me I'll burn in hell
"For all eternity," they say
And if loving you is a sin that will put me in hell,
I'd gladly burn for you.
