If I dwell on your picture for just a second more,
I feel the tears start to form
my eyes stinging terribly

But I dwell on that day every second in the day,
fearing I forget how perfect you fit in my arms
Every moment I'd squeeze your cheeks
or kiss the tip of your nose
Each time I catch a whiff of your scent that I still search for everywhere

I wish for a second, just a second more
One more time to hug you
and kiss you on the nose
A proper farewell
Because I can't let you go

But of course, only time will tell
But I know, I love you so
