Chapter Seven

"That went better than expected." Sloth said to his brothers as he watched Pride and Envy wash dishes. "Yeah. I really wasn't expecting her to move in with us or give us a chance. I mean, she's open to a relationship with us. All of us." Envy smiled happily.

"She's still guarded. We all saw it in her eyes. I've tracked down her exes and have already sent some demons after them." Wrath stated with a smile. They nodded in satisfaction.

"What about her rules?" Lust spoke up. "What about them? We will get to know her and let her get to know us. It's the standard procedure for mortals. It's only natural that she would want to move in that way." Pride stated.

"That rule is fine. It's the getting to know everything that we do that irks me." Greed offered taking a seat at the counter. "Harlow seemed to handle hell well enough. I'm sure Mikayla will be fine." Sloth shrugged. "Harlow is half demon. She's going to freak and you know it. It's one thing to now know that the things that go bump in the night are real. It's a whole other thing to be faced with them head on." Lust sighed.

"It's what she wants and I don't know about you fools, but I know when a Black woman wants something, she oftentimes gets it." Greed said before getting up and heading to his room. "I just want to make her happy." Sloth sighed. "If I had a flower for every time her smile made me feel complete, I'd walk in my very own garden forever."

They smiled at their lazy lovesick brother. "All that matters is her. My whole purpose in life is to make Mikayla Moore the happiest she's ever been." They looked at Sloth with matching expressions. They wanted that too. They each wanted Mikayla happy and whole.

"We'll do whatever it takes to keep her smiling. Let her see you and allow Fate to do the rest. I have no doubt that our mate will be ours fully in no time." Pride said before wishing them all goodnight. "I can't believe I have to wait until Sunday to be with her." Lust pouted.

Wrath chuckled at his baby brother. "You don't have to wait until Sunday to be with her. Sunday is just your day. We're still going to have nightly dinners and you can get her number like a mortal would and talk to her throughout the day." Lust nodded in consideration.

"I know you're worried about her touch or yours. I don't know what it's like to have your powers, but I do know that talking will be your greatest asset. Let her see you and the man you are and I'm sure the time will come where she's coming on your dick happy and willingly."

Lust chuckled before shoving his brother. The visual of Mikayla in such an intimate position had Lust rock hard in seconds. They all said their goodnights and headed to bed. They looked forward to what the week had in store for them all.

Mikayla laughed heartily at Gluttony. She learned quite early that he was a bit of a jokester. "I love your laugh, darling." Mikayla smiled at him as they lay in bed. Her leg found its way across his waist as soon as they got comfortable and remained there as he traced invisible lines on her exposed thigh. Mikayla opted to wear another one of his shirts and realized she loved how small she felt in them. She felt safe.

As she looked into his hazel green eyes, she saw so many emotions that chipped away at her defenses and walls. "What is it like being Gluttony?" An expression flashed on his face before it was gone in a millisecond. He cupped her cheek before caressing it.

"I exist to push people to extremes. Excess could quite literally be my middle name. People eat and drink in surplus if I'm involved and it's what feeds me. America is my favorite country because of the fact that obesity and food disorders are so rampant here. I also love how the modern world has added flavors and twists to liquors, which increased consumption. The worst thing that ever happened to me were the introductions of dieting and AA."
