oo. PROLOGUE

PETER PARKER WASN'T STUPID. In fact, he was quite the opposite, nearing the top of his class, with added credits in his extracurriculars. He was a prodigy, the son of a successful scientist, and the student every teacher wished they had.

Nadine Holt, however, couldn't really say the same. Cursed with an extremely lacking ability in math, she was all of her teachers' worst nightmare. Not that she could really blame them, in all fairness, the amount of emails she'd sent them had to be annoying. So when they pawned her off to the second highest member of the class, she couldn't blame them.

She did feel some sympathy for Peter though — even her Uncle Ray had pretty much given up on teaching her math. It wasn't like she was completely hopeless, she had passed the Midtown entry exam, after all.

But upon meeting the infamous Peter Parker, Nadine quickly learnt that she was better at some things, such as secrets. She had never revealed anything about her abilities, but soon after their weekly tutoring sessions... Spider-Man couldn't really say the same.
