Chapter 3 ~ Enjoying a Mad Tea Party

Third Person POV:

It is morning in wonderland. The sun shines brightly through the windows of the cottage of the White Rabbit. Kai woke up with a groan with the sun shining on his face. He turns, with his back at the sunlight. He slowly opens his eyes with the smell of food. He gets up, confused where he was at first. Then, he realizes that he's not in Ninjago anymore, while looking around. He looks down at himself and sees he's still wearing the red, short skirted dress from yesterday that Rabbit gave him. He gets up from the bed and out of the guest room, walks downstairs and into the kitchen.

"Oh, good morning, sleepyhead! I'm almost done making breakfast.", The british rabbit says with a wide smile. "Alright", he yawns. "So what are you making?", He asks the rabbit, while rubbing his eyes from tiredness. "I'm making pancakes with eggs and bacon. So how did you sleep?", She asks politely.

"Oh, I slept alright I guess...", Kai walks to the dining table and sits himself on a chair. While White Rabbit gets two plates with 2 pancakes, some scrambled eggs and 2 pieces of bacon. She serves one of the plates of food to Kai and hers on the other side of where he sits, for her. She grabs forks, knives and cups out for the heated water inside the kettle on the stove. She places the forks and knives on the table and goes back to get the tea.

Kai didn't wait a single second and started eating the food his new friend made him. "Thanks for breakfast Rabbit!", He mumbles as he takes a bite of the eggs. "It's no problem!", The rabbit hybrid says while mixing the tea, "You're my guest after all. I always like to treat my guests with as much kindness as I can." She smiles as bright as the sun, as she turns to the table and places the cups of tea for them, both.

After a while of no talking, but just eating, White Rabbit's eyes widened in realization. "Oh, right I almost forgot!", She says telling herself, as she slaps her own face. Kai just looks up confused at the rabbit. Kai swallows the food in his mouth and asks, "Forgot about what?" The rabbit groans," I just remembered that I have work and you're gonna be here all alone!", She looks at Kai with eyes of disappointment. "So you're saying I need a babysitter?", The boy in the dress asks the white haired female with a neutral tone. "What?! Oh, no, no, no, no, no! That's not what I mean! Its just that you're probably gonna be so lonely while I'm gone!", Rabbits ears go down behind her head. "Hey don't worry about it. I'll be fine," Kai tries to comfort the rabbit. But doesn't really work.

The White Rabbit thinks while Kai just stares confusingly. There was a bit of a moment of silence, so Kai just looked down at his tea and drank some. The girl sighs in defeat from the option she chose. Since there aren't really any good options to choose for since she is one of the few people in the area that's more sane and mature than the other people of the world they are in. "I have an idea. Maybe, after breakfast, we could go see someone for a while and maybe you could stay with them while I'm gone...?", the statement sounding more like a question. Kai thought it was too early to argue, especially since he didn't sleep that well. "Please don't tell me it's who I think it is...", Kai says with a groan. "It is...", rabbit makes an innocent look on her face. Kai sighs and goes back to finishing his breakfast. At least he won't be alone in the house, but HIM of all people?!

~Meanwhile in Ninjago~

After the ninja ate breakfast they head out to the courtyard to train. "Do you think Master Wu found anything about where Kai could be?", Nya asks her friends. "At the moment? Probably not.", Zane replies. Lloyd sighs, "I hope he's okay...", he says worried about his friend. "Yeah..", Cole mumbles in disappointment. "But even if he does, we still don't have a way of getting to the realm he's in", Jay points out.

The others stopped training and got together and sat in a circle to think about what to do.

Lloyd puts his hand behind his head. Nya puts her face in her hands. Zane closes his eyes as he thinks. Jay just looks around to help him find something that could be useful. Although there in the courtyard, all there is are rakes, a broom and a bucket. Cole looks down with sad eyes. The person he loves has gone missing and once they found out where he went they still don't have a way home. He also wonders if Kai feels the same.

They do this for about 12 minutes and everybody, except Zane, groans in annoyance or sigh in disappointment.

"What if we go shopping for some new tea leaves?", Cole suggested. "Perhaps that might work. Though we will have a 52.3% chance of finding any.", Zane calculates with his nindroid brain.

Lloyd stands up, " Alright then we will split up into teams.", he announces, "Nya, Zane, Cole. You guys try to find the tea. Me and Jay will stay incase Master Wu found something about wherever Kai could be."

They all nod. Nya, Zane and Cole runs back inside the monestary into the living room and opens the door to the underground base that Pixal has set up for them. As soon as they got on Cole's bike, they left to Ninjago City.

~Meanwhile back in Wonderland~

Kai and White Rabbit are walking in the forest with trees that's purple with blue leaves. Kai likes to think of it like it's a part of a painting. As he looks around he starts to hear voices. Although, the voices are not so far it's still pretty quiet.

They continue to walk until they reach the end of the path, which has a door. Kai sighs as White Rabbit opens the door shouting names, "Hatter! Heir? Are you guys here?"

She got no reply and turns back to Kai. He just shrugs. She turns back and calls a few more times," Hello?! Mad Hatter!! I need you and my cousin to do me a favor!", silence came once more. Until she hear Kai yelp. She whips her head around to see the Mad Hatter carrying Kai bridal style. "My, my, my! Kai what a surprise! I didn't think you would come again! Unless you wanted to celebrate your Un-Birthday, because we throw the best Happy Un-Birthday parties!", he says with a cheerful tone. "Well actually-", Kai starts only to be cut off.

"Yeah we do! Come on let's get the party set!", the March Heir. "Then, let us be on our way!", Hatter says as he and the heir begins to run the the tea table with Kai in his arms. While running forced Kai to put his arms around the Mad Hatters neck so he doesn't fall off. "Oh...um... Alright then! Have a good time Kai! I'll be back soon!", the rabbit says with a confusing, yet shaky voice. As Kai turns his head and just gives her deathly glares. She made that her cue to head to her work.

"So, my dear, Kai what kind of cake would you like today, for your Happy Un-Birthday?", the Mad Hatter asks the boy with flirty tone as he puts himself close to Kai. Kai begins to sweat a bit since Hatter was so close to his face. "Oh well... I'm really not that hungry at the moment", he replies. "But it's tea time! How about some red velvet cake with white icing and a chocolate cake with sprinkles!", the March Heir suggests. "No, really, it's fine! I already ate at Rabbits house! I'm already ful- AH!", he shouts at the end as the Hatter puts his hand on Kai's stomach to he if he could feel hungry growl. Kai just blushes and slaps the man, " Haven't you heard of personal space?!", he yells as he clutches his stomach.

"I was trying to see if you were hungry", he states. "And I told you I'm-"

"Serve him cake and tea!!", the Mad Hatter shouts to his friend. Cutting Kai off once more. He groans in annoyance as the heir cuts a slice of cake and a slice of a tea cup. He serves them to Kai as he just stares at the half cut tea cup.

How is the tea able to sit inside the slice of the cup like there's an invisible wall?!, Kai asks himself in his mind. He sighs and takes a fork and eats the cake not realizing that the Mad Hatter and the March Heir we're too eating cake and drinking from half of tea cups. He sighs, This is going to be a long day...
