Chapter 4: Related

"Young Lady Athanasios..."

The maids in charge under Katarina were smiling, trying to gently wake her up.

Katarina grumbled.

"What..?" She mumbled.

The maids stifled their laughs.

"Young Lady Athanasios, it's time to get up." One of the maids said.

"That's right, you have a big day today. Duke Athanasios will soon be waiting for you in breakfast." The second.

"You're going to the Capital District Hospital today." The third.

"Young Lady Athanasios, you need to get up soon to prepare, it'll be a bit of a long carriage ride from here to the capital." The fourth.

"You need to prepare to go to the Capital District Hospital to get a DNA test with Duke Athanasios, Young Lady Athanasios." And the fifth.

Katarina had gasped, jumping up sitting awake on her bed.

"It's today?!?" She said.

The maids chuckled at her adorable reaction.

"Yes, Young Lady Athanasios, it's today." One of them said.

Katarina panicked a little, with the maids only reaching to get her ready calmly.

The suit was put on her, a perfect fit as always. Her tie was put on and her collar was tucked in neatly around her neck fitting. Her hair was finished drying, combed down. She sat down for her maids to finish with her socks and shoes lastly.

"Any accessories today, Duke Athanasios?" The maid who finished with her hair asked.

Artemis gave her a side glance before humming, saying, "Give me the newest pair of earrings in my Treasury of Royal Gifts. It'd be best to use something the king gifted me for once now."

The maid nodded walking off to the walk-in closet with utmost joy.

"Young Lady Athanasios is waiting in the dining room, Duke Athanasios." One of Katarina's maids had knocked to tell that.

Artemis huffed, snapping her fingers, "Hurry everything up."

They didn't complain, seeing the House Master look this excited to smile for once to see someone was something they've always been dreaming to have.

"Understood, Duke Athanasios."

They picked up the pace.

"Duke Athanasios, here it is." The maid who had fetched to get the latest set of earrings came back with the box.

It was a pair of The Blue Lapis Tears that the royal family had given her five months ago on a small banquet.

She rarely goes to banquets, so the royal family doesn't hesitate to take the opportunity and shower her with a present or more.

"Put only one on me." She ordered.

"Eh?" The maid was confused.

Artemis rephrased her order, "Put one on me and give the other to Katarina, that'll be my first present to her. Hurry up, she's waiting for me in the dining room."

The maids awed, a matching set with her sibling? It'd seem the Duke is insisting in the hopes that they are related, she wants someone to spoil in her luxurious abode.

"U-Understood, Duke Athanasios!" The maid hurried.
