Chapter 19: Siblings

Gerald huffed, "Well, at least we're all glad Maria didn't get kidnapped and fortunately, found you when she got lost."

Maria meekly smiled, she really did get lost. On her own. How sad.

"I apologize for worrying all of you." She said.

"Don't be," Nicole sighed.

"We're all just glad you didn't get hurt..." Sophia said.

"Just how did you end up here, Sister?" Keith asked.

"Oh, I met Artemis in Lilia City," Katarina said.

"Lilia City, huh..." Keith hummed, "Funny how Maria got lost there and stumbled upon you."

Everyone laughed.

"Katarina."

Everyone perked up.

"Oh, Artemis!" Katarina got up.

Everyone shot up, except for Maria. She already knew.

"A-Another..?" Alan pointed with a shaky finger, "A doppelganger?!?"

"No, no, this is my twin sister!" Katarina fixed the misunderstanding.

"Twin sister!?" Keith shot up.

"Mhm! She's our older Sister, Keith." Katarina said.

"What!??" Gerald yelled.

"Older sister!?" Sophia and Keith yelled in unison.

Katarina sighed, she'll have to explain everything as to why Artemis is her twin and all.

"And that's how it is." Katarina said, "Funny neither Mother nor Father mentioned anything about an older sister..."

They all understood that.

"That was a long story, and also I think one of your friends who had come from the bathroom fainted sick. She's in one of the guest bedrooms with a doctor making sure she isn't too sick." Artemis just sat there listening beside Katarina, she sighed and crossed her legs leaning back on the couch.

"Oh, so that's why she's gone for so long." Sophia hummed, 'Just by looking at how Lady Katarina's twin sits on a couch, I can tell why that is...'

"So... You're my older sister as well..?" Keith asked.

Artemis rested her head down on one hand, "I don't want a little brother or wish for one but if you find me as your older Sister, I don't care."

Keith frowned, that was rude.

"I didn't know your sister had an older twin." Gerald hummed.

"Neither did I," Keith said.

"I'm guessing Artemis Athanasios... You're the famous Duke that's beloved by Adalwolf Island?" Alan said.

"I'd have been surprised if you hadn't known." Artemis shrugged.

Artemis perked up, "Leave it."

"No, you'll catch a cold," Katarina said.

"This is my home, I can do what I want." Artemis scoffed.
