Artemis sat in the carriage, arms crossed, she was pissed off.

Eyes filled with furry with furrowed brows and an ever so heavy-edged frown.

"Artemis..." Katarina sighed.

"You didn't get an annulment." Artemis hissed.

Expression fowl, fortunately, she got the others separate carriages so she could be left alone with her twin.

"I... I know, but--"

"Is he really that important to you?" Artemis scoffed, a brow raised.

Katarina gulped, "Of course he is... He's my friend and only a friend. We only got engaged because he suggested it and I accidentally said yes. I was a little clumsy and stupid enough to say yes when I hadn't heard what he had said because I didn't want to seem like... I'm a little ignorant."

Artemis's expression softened just a bit before she immediately clicked her tongue and the softness in her gaze turned harsher than it had already been.

"You can be as ignorant as you want!" She said, "Anybody who'll stop you will have to see to me if they want you dead..."

Katarina perked up, muttering "You... You'd protect me even if... I screw up?"

"Why wouldn't I? I'd kill anybody if they think you screwed up..!" Artemis scoffed.

Katarina found that cute but a little worrisome. Her twin might kill her friends if they think she screwed up even a little, which she always has been. She's screwed up a lot of times and they all know it.

Still though... They were much kinder and more understanding when she screws up than her mother.

"You're just as understanding as our mother when I screw up..." She sighed, gasping when she said that aloud, hands slapping her mouth.

Artemis stared at her, eyes wide, brows still furrowed with an ever-so mouth, lips mere inches apart. She looked shocked hearing her say such a cruel thing.

"Our mother..?" She asked.

Katarina meekly laughed, "No, no! It's not what you think. I just think our Mother would be... Much more happy and gentle with you than with me because you're... Well, you."

Artemis huffed, shutting her eyes for a moment before opening them back up to ask, "What are you trying to say right now? It's becoming a burden trying to guess."

"It's just..." Katarina scratched the back of her neck, "I don't think I should ever come back anymore because I'm starting to realize now that I've been a burdened to all my friends and family."

"How are you a burden to me?" Artemis asked, frowning as she stated the fact to her, "You're nothing of bother to me! You're too little of a spec to be of bother!"

Katarina chuckled, she knows she meant it well. So she assured her she didn't think of herself to her that way.

"I know, you've always been trying to spoil me so much and you get so angry when you see that it doesn't seem enough when it's more than enough to me." She said, "I'm just worried I'll get an earful from our mother when we get back home. She's always given me an earful when I'm in danger."

Artemis's mood went sour again.

"You..." She growled.

"But she's so much more different than you, even though you two somehow make the same face when angry." Katarina said, chuckling a little when she was able to imagine and compare the two, like mother like daughter and all, "She looks so much like you when she's angry and sounds close to your way of talking."

Artemis got shot in the heart by a black arrow.

"I..." A cat stole her tongue.

"But you're nicer than her, much more lenient and... Just better I think," Katarina assured.

Artemis huffed, prideful she felt, she took what she said to heart. The arrow still lingering.

"That's good to know. I wouldn't give you an earful over anything anyway!" She said.

Katarina laughed.

'But you've already done it so many times by now...'

"I love you! Big Sister." She gleamed.

Artemis's eyes widened, cheeks oddly warm. She cleared her throat aloud.

"R-Right." She scoffed, "Yeah... I love you too, little Sister."

Katarina nodded.

"What about Keith?" She asked.

"Tsk..! I do not desire for a little brother..." Artemis rolled her eyes, looking indifferent just thinking about it.

"He's the most gentlemanly man of a brother! I promise you, you'll like him!" Katarina said.

"I second it won't." Artemis leaned back on her side of the carriage.

"I'd rather disown myself from thinking of him as family." She added.

"Artemis..." Katarina sighed.

"I decline! I do not desire for a brother." Artemis was rather hard-headed sometimes.

A twin thing, huh...

Katarina groaned, arms sulking, "Okay... I'll give you and Keith some time to get to know each other, and maybe, you'll understand and give him a chance? He's still family, Artemis."

"Chances or not. I will never acknowledge him as of same blood." Artemis insisted.

"Okay, okay..." Katarina sighed louder.

...

In the table.

Everyone was seated.

Keith sat a chair beside Artemis and one chair open beside her for Katarina.

Mary sat beside the empty chair.

Sophia and Nicole sat beside each other.

Mary sat in between Maria and Sophia.

And Gerald and Alan sat a chair away from Artemis, beside Keith.

Artemis tapped impatiently on the table, eyes shut trying to keep calm.

"Ughh... Damnit." She held her temple.

"Is something wrong, Duke Athanasios?" The Head chef asked.

Artemis held her head down, "My head is aching as it did two weeks ago."

The chefs shot up and immediately went to her side.

"Head maid!! Bring the Head maid here right now!" One of the chefs ran to the doors yelling when he opened them.

The sound of running followed after.

Everyone was confused.

"I... Is something wrong, eldest Sister?" Keith asked.

Artemis swat his reaching hand away, "Don't touch me!"

Keith flinched, pulling his hand away.

"Does somewhere hurt?" Maria asked, "I might be able to help."

"What can you help with?" The Head chef asked, a frown in his foul expression.

"If it's light magic it's useless in her state so don't try!" He yelled.

Maria shot up.

This wasn't the reaction she was expecting to get.
