Chapter 8: Resort

The Athanasios Twins had woken up at eight for a late breakfast before leaving to roam to a place near the shores.

"Where is this?" Katarina asked, she could hear the sound of waves crashing onshore.

Were they near the beach?

"We're in Selena Shores, but we're headed to The Aristaeus Beach Resort." Artemis was reading today's newspapers.

"Huh? Why? Do you have work there?" Katarina asked.

"Did the servants tell you I go just about anywhere with work relating to it?" Artemis scoffed with a raised brow.

"Don't you?" Katarina chirped.

There was a moment of silence between them.

"Yes. Yes, I do."

Artemis couldn't deny the fact shoved in her face.

"But for you, you'll be there for fun, I'm there for work." She said.

"When are you ever off of work?? You even look like you work even on the weekends." Katarina scoffed.

"I do work on the weekends." Artemis chuckled flipping over the next page.

"What!? You should rest! Have a vacation and all!" Katarina said, looks like what the servants that work in the big manor had said were all true.

"There's no such thing as a vacation when you're the Head of a noble house." Artemis hummed.

Katarina puffed her cheeks for a moment.

"Workaholic." She chided pulling the curtains aside to look out the window.

Artemis only laughed hearing that.

Katarina saw the beach, there were people having fun on the shores. She saw children running, people eating cold treats under the sun and the shades of umbrellas and coconut trees.

It's a little bit just like her past life in Japan, the beach looked closely just like this in the Aristaeus Beach Resort.

"That isn't the resort, that's open lands that can't be owned and is used by the people to enjoy themselves and have fun," Artemis said.

"Eh? Then where is this resort on anyway??" Katarina asked.

"You'll see," Artemis hummed.

When they arrived, the Resort Managers had rushed out of there to greet them.

"We greet the Duke and the Young Lady of the Athanasios House!" They bowed in front of them.

Artemis snapped her fingers.

"All of you treat Katarina well." She ordered, "I'll get rid of anybody who disobeys any of her orders."

"Where are you going?" Katarina asked when she began leaving.

"Work." Artemis gleamed a smile back at her.

The managers blinked, their... Saviour, the Duke had smiled a different kind of smile they've never seen on her face in forever other than that one time they had offered her a hug of comfort years ago when she was much younger!!!

This woman really was the big deal that the people working in the house have said about. They have to make sure she's comfortable in the resort at all costs!!

Artemis chuckled and patted her head.

"I'll be back before lunch, how's that sound?" She asked.
