she held her hands under the water trying to clean the wound from the blood which neatly filled her palm, before Thomas could get up asking if she was ok Freddie pushed him down again with a  stern tone, his eyes fixated on the woman who hissed as a bandage was placed on her cut palm
 she thanked Harry before Thomas stood up from the bar after giving the impression that this conversation was coming to an end, he walked over to Estella grabbing her not hurt arm and walking out not before saying a loud "bring the check to the peaky blinders, we'll take care of it" and soon walking out

as soon as the cold wind and dusty smoky air touched her cheeks Thomas stopped taking her hand in his
"How big is it," he asked sternly looking at her hand trying to find any other cuts "it is not big maybe 1 inch," she said making the man chuckle deeply "Estella I saw the blood dripping we'll get home and you going to get that bandaged up properly by Polly," he said making the woman nod since she knew changing his mind now, was nearly impossible

after getting bandaged up and getting told by Polly that Finn found John's gun this morning, she stood in the kitchen watching Finn sneak into the kitchen leaning his ear on the door, she coughed so he turned around looking at her with wide eyes

"come here Finn," she said gesturing towards her lap, he walked over as she lifted him on her feet looking straight into her eyes
"Why did you pick up Johns gun huh Finn ?" she asked to what the small boy only shrugged, "let's make a deal you keep your hands from dangerous things like knives, guns, maybe the caps alright, and i tell everything about the cool things we did that you will be able to do too someday alright" he chuckled clapping his hands as she smiled

Finn loved her stories about the amazing and adventurous missions they went on only leaving out the gruesome parts like death, bullets hitting someone's chest, but his smile every time she told him about the enemies giving up made her smile too

"now go into your room you will be able to go to a family meeting soon enough," she said pushing him forwards slightly to what she chuckled and nodded running up the stairs
she got up turned the doorknob and walked into the room seeing everyone already there

"took you long enough," said John chuckling to what Estella gave him a hit on the back of the head "what was that for'" he asked with his usual toothpick in his mouth to what Estella leaned closer and whisper something along the lines of 'Polly told me' and soon John shut up knowing what she meant

"I have some very important news," said Arthur crossing his hands and standing before the table where Ada and Polly sat Polly took a big drag from her cigarette before offering it to Estella, she kindly accepted and took one herself before blowing out the smoke after inhaling most of it
"Scudboat and Lovelock came back from Belfast last night," said the man with a mustache pointing to the two-man standing behind him, they slightly nodded at the people who had their eyes on them before Arthur continued "they were buying a stallion to cover their mares, they were in a pub on the Shankill road yesterday" crossing his hand looking down at us and at the boys "and it that pub was a chopper," he said grabbing a stack of paper "handing out these" he finished giving one paper to Ada who wanted to read but got the paper ripped out of her grasp by John, he read over the lines before reading out loud while Scudboat handed out the rest to Thomas and the others
"if your over five feet, and can fight, come to Birmingham" he read Estella ripped the paper out of his grasp making him roll his eyes before she gave him a glare reading over it herself, then handing the paper to Polly who kindly accepted it "they're recruiting  Protestant Irishmen to come here as special," said Arthur making the young raven-haired woman lookup

"to do what," asked Ada looking around trying to get an answer  before she got one from her older brother standing across the room "to clean up the city Ada," he said taking a hit from his cigarette "he's a chief inspector, for last four years, he's been clearing the IRA out of Belfast," he said making Arthur look at him with a  confused but angry face

"Why do you know so bloody much," Arthur asked making Estella open her mouth
"he's been asking the choppers on our payroll about it Arthur" she said making the blue-eyed man look at her before nodding
"and why didn't ya tell me," he asked again Tommy looked at him blankly before shrugging "I'm telling you" Arthur took a sip from his alcohol before his aunt turned to Tommy after inspecting the paper well "why are they sending him to Birmingham," she asked

"well there been all these bloody strikes at the BSA, and the Austin works lately," he said looking around before continuing "now the papers are talking about sedition, and revolution, i reckon it's communists he's after," he said Estella leaned back getting a big view of the woman sitting beside him looking down, drowning in her thoughts, Estella gave her a little push to what the short-haired girl looked up she mouthed the words 'you ok?' towards the girl who is like a sister to her to which she just nodded with a  small smile

Estella noticed the smile was not really but shrugged it off concentrating on Polly's question if the chopper will leave them alone
"there are Irishmen in Green Lane who left Belfast to get away from him, they say catholic man used to disappear in the night," he said looking at Arthur sternly "but we're not the IRA," Estella said catching the attention of everyone "yeah we fought for the king, we aren't scared of some choppers, we're the peaky blinders" finished John making Arthur agree "if they come for us we'll cut them a smile each," he said again Estella gave him a push with a big smile agreeing before Tommy busted in "so Arthur is that it," he asked Arthur looked at him before looking at his aunt

"Polly?" she turned towards the man standing next to her and asked "this family does everything open, you've nothing more to say Thomas?" she asked and he shook his head
"no...nothing that's women's business," he said making Estella ball her fists and stand up
"This whole enterprise was woman's business while you were away, we lead this just as good as you did with just as much will to cut everyone doing wrong to this family 'what's changed'" she said looking more at Thomas than anyone else

"We came back" he said with a blank face "yeah and everything went downfall again," she said standing up from her chair completely and walking out of the room
