first of I am so sorry that i forgot about this book it has been ages since I posted another chapter

"well you slept long," said Polly as Estella came into the kitchen fully dressed, John had required a meeting at the Garrison
"haven't slept til 4 in the morning" she said back as she grabbed her coat, soon Thomas walked in looking at Estella who grabbed her purse not drawn to look at Thomas, she was still slightly mad at him I mean how could she not?

"Well hello Thomas, It's a good day" said Polly grabbing her purse
"where's John," he asked back to what Polly soon answered "Johns at the garrison, says he wants a meeting about a Family matter...after he said his piece, he will come back and take his place with Scudboat" she said putting a hat on her curly hair

they walked out as Thomas grabbed Estella's wrist holding her back
"what?" she asked annoyed turning towards the blue-eyed man
"Stella I'm sorry ok? i truly am, everything worked out in the end didn't it but please don't ignore me" he said sternly but pleaded in the end
she sighed and nodded walking ahead

she only nodded, she didn't say a clear no I don't forgive you, or of course, i was never mad at you
but for Thomas knowing she acknowledged his apology made him calmer knowing she knew he meant it

as they walked into the private room John sat on the chair while Arthur sat on the bench one hand over the back
Thomas walked and declined a whiskey before asking what was wrong, Estella leaned again the wall next to Thomas her arms crossed as she listened to what John said
"well uh, Polly you know how it has been since Martha died," he said looking down as Polly said a quick "god takes the best first," he thought a bit before saying "the truth is, my kids, have been running bloody rings around, running barefoot with the dogs till late hours," he said bitterly, Estella leaned her head to the side watching as Thomas spoke
"Pol give him ten bob, for some new shoes, is that it John?" he asked impatiently, Estella slapped his arms as he looked at her giving her a look and saying 'what?'
"you don't have kids Thomas, alright? you don't know how it is to raise kids alone so don't speak like you know everything... when you have three kids in the future I will ask you again about this 'eh" she said back making Arthur leave a snug comment "see Thomas you better get ready she wants kids 'ey" he said and Estella gave him a look and said a quick "fuck off Arthur" before John started speaking again
"come on John what's your point," asked Polly also getting slightly irritated
"what the kids need is a mother," said John as Estella butted in "John I told you I could watch the little ones at all times when you are away," she said but John shook his head "that's a nice offer but I decided it would be best for me to get married," he said making all of them look at each other
"Does this poor girl know you gonna marry her or do you just spring it all on her" asked Polly
"I've already proposed and she already said yes" he said

"i think there's a shell about a land, and go, bang" said thomas lighting a cigarette before taking a hit, as soon as the smoke left his mouth the cigarette was ripped from his lips as Estella held it to her own looking at him with a sarcastic smile
"it's uh It's Lizzie Stark," he said as soon as those words left his mouth all of them including Thomas started to chuckle, Estella turned around burying her face in Thomas's shoulder not meaning to sound mean, she giggled into the fabric of his coat as he looked down a smile was put onto his face,

"John! Lizzie Stark is a strong woman, and I am sure she provides a fine service for her customers" she said as John lashed out "i won't hear the word, understand? I will not that word" he said loudly making everyone stop there laughing

as Thomas spoke "and what word is that John?" he asked leaning back as Estella recovered from her laughing fit "you know what that word is" he said through gritted teeth trying to calm himself down "everybody bloody knows!" said Arthur chuckling

"everybody can go to hell" he said making Estella snort "already doing that" she said back
making Arthur chuckle and Thomas smile slightly "Whore? that word? or prostitute? how about that one" he said as John pointed at the table making a statement
"I want it known, if anybody calls her a whore again I push the barrel of my revolver down the throats and blow the word back down to their hearts," he said making Polly sit there stunned "men and their cocks never cease to amaze me," she said as she looked at John "John... Lizzie Stark never did a days work vertical" "she's changed, alright people change" he said banging the table loudly making Arthur hold in a laugh "like with religion" said John trying t to find something good to make a point with
"so Lizzie Stark gots religion," asked Thomas as John hesitated
"no she doesn't have a religion but...she loves me," he said as he turned towards the two looking at his older brother
"Now listen Tommy, i won't do this without your blessing, i want you to see it as...as brave," he said making Arthur say a bitter but funny "oh its brave alright"

"brave is something where no man has gone, and with Lizzie stark that is what you'll not be doing" she said ending her sentence with a fit of laugher along side estella
"listen tommy welcome her to the family, for someone who had a hard life, alright because i need someone, the kids need someone" he said but was cut short by Finn bursting in saying a heavy breathing "Tommy we've been done over"
