she opened the door seeing him sit on his bed, elbows on his knees, head in his hands, his hair looked greasy and wild he looked.... vulnerable and dead
she sat next to him not saying a word only putting her arm around his shoulder pulling him in, he sighed and buried his head in the crook of her neck, his body was shaking and his mouth left heavy breaths as he calmed down
"another bad dream" she whispered not ready to disturb the silence
"When I feel guilty, angry, or sad it makes it worse and you ignoring me... just added to it" he sighed, she leaned back and said with a  breaking voice "so I am the reason you have nightmares," she asked and he shook his head grabbing her head in his hands as he said with a soothing voice "no what I mean is I'm sorry for what I did, whatever I did I am so-" but soon knocking and yelling was heard Thomas walked over to the window cursing as he saw who was outside he quickly got dressed making Estella run out of the room into her own grabbing a view things to wear

when she stepped out Thomas ran through the hallway but stopped when he saw the woman stand there fully clothed looking at him
"you stay here" he demanded pointing a finger at her, he knew what she was doing and he won't let her get into trouble of any kind... she shook her head and walked past him before looking back at him asking an innocent "you coming 'ey" they ran through the streets, it was pouring from above making Astellas wet hair stick to her face and neck, they started running faster, curly on the front  before Thomas stopped him and turned towards her holding both his hand on her arms steadying her as much as he could now that her shoes were full of mud...and wet

"go to the garrison wait for me there," he said looking deep into her eyes as she spoke he cut her off "but thom-" "I said go to the garrison... we have to talk," he said as his still warm hand left her arms running ahead leaving her standing in the pouring rain, she rolled her eyes walking right instead of left towards the pub that was already closed, hoping someone would still be there

she saw the light was still on letting a stressed breath out, being flooded with relief having to explain the garrison was completely closed, and for her having to wait in the rain until he came

she knocked multiple times hoping Harry was still there, but when the door opened and she saw the blond looking at her in confusion
"Estella it's you day off and we're closed what are you doing here," she asked as Estella pushed the door further open walking inside taking off the drenched coat that was soaked with water, "Thomas told me to wait for him here" she muttered as she brushed her fingers through her wet hair, it was tangled and going to be a handful to brush out, as grace closed the door she said quickly and a little enthusiastic "I can wait for him here you can go home rest a bit I am sure he won't mind it" she said with a sly smile making Estella sick of the woman game she knew she was playing

"he said I should wait here not you, I will lock up don't worry now go home it is late," she said and Grace knew Estella's mood was hanging on a thin piece of thread so she grabbed her coat and walked out leaving the dark-haired woman alone in a pub

after what felt like forever knocks were heard on the door, Estella jumped up frightened but calmed down as soon as she remembered she was waiting for Thomas
she opened the door as he walked in his hair wet dripping on his shoulder, his face looked like a mixture of fright, sadness, stress... Estella sighed closing the door again before walking behind the bar

"a whiskey?" she asked to what he mumbled telling her it was a clear yes, she poured two whiskeys setting them down at a table he sat down at
"what happened," she asked as she sat down
"the horse" he mumbled pulling out a cigarette before giving her one which she kindly accepted "how is he," she asked back as he lit her cigarette before lighting his own, as smoke left his mouth he said a sad "just put a bullet in his head" Estella*s mouth fell opened from shock, Thomas did not have this horse for long "was he lame?" she asked back "he looked at me the wrong way....was not a good idea to look at Thomas Shelby the wrong way," he said sighing

"What a waste...he was a nice horse," she said looking at her lap her fingers playing with her skirt
"a waste it is" he sighed gulping down his whiskey before pouring another one

it was silent for a while until he spoke again looking everywhere but the woman in front o him

"in France, i got used to seeing men die, but I never got used to seeing horses die....they die badly," he said making the woman nod

"now what's wrong why have you been ignoring me," he asked as he took a big hit from the cigarette between his fingers
"I haven't been ignoring you" she sighed looking at the thousand  different liquors behind Thomas "you know me just as well as I know you, because every time you lie you don't dare to look someone in the eyes so tell me," he said leaning back

"your taking grace to the race," she said looking at him in the eyes, her eyes showed her soul to Thomas
anger, hatred, sadness, betrayal all things she felt as those words left her mouth
"your heard," he asked and she nodded "I heard you talking minutes after grace came and rubbed it in my face asking me what to wear"

"The King will be there," he said turning the conversation completely "King George?" she asked to what he chuckled "no, King Billy Kimber and all his men....the lees have been robbing his money, he needs protection we need an ally," he said Estella gave him a look of confusion not knowing what one thing had to do with the other
"Billy Kimber is a mad man his lust powered by power, I am taking grace to give him this power he will be interested we will get out ally a-" as he spoke Estella cut him off by jumping up

"you want to give grace to Kimber like some meat!" she said loudly making Thomas stand up too
"she will help us get what we want nothing will happen, that's the only reason I will take her" he assured while taking the girl's hands in his

"I might not like grace, and she is not one of my favorite people but promise me nothing will happen to her," she asked making the man nod in agreement
"and let her sing," she said as Thomas looked at her weirdly "what?" he asked
she let go of his hand and walked behind the bar pulling out another bottle of whiskey
"you heard me if she is the meat being thrown into a bears cage I at least want for you to let her sing like she said on Saturday nights," Estella said walking back slamming the bottle of whiskey on the table
"Alright fine because you asked," he said towards her making her smile a little before they sat back down talking at some point Thomas fell asleep surprisingly

Estella smiled sweetly getting up putting the bottle and glasses away before walking over to him sending a sweet kiss to his forehead before muttering |goodnight Tommy"
