SHEHNAAZ'S HOME, SAME NIGHT
Nandini:kya huaaaaa??? You have the guts to even ask this??
Shehnaaz:maa....
Nadini:No Shehnaaz, you've disappointed us
Shehnaaz looked at her parents giving her an upset look and she got teary eyed, she didn't know what had she done but certainly didn't want her parents to be upset or disappointed in her.
Rishab who couldn't control himself anymore seeing his darling daughter cry, went to her and engulfed her in a hug and rubbed her back slightly and went back and stood beside Nandini with a smile while Nandini and Nidhi shook their head at his softy behavior and smiled looking at Shehnaaz.

Now Shehnaaz was even more confused and asked
Shehnaaz:what is going on
She asked appalled
Nandini:Well.... We might be teasing you
Shehnaaz:what???
Nidhi:Naaz, we were pulling your leg, umm we might may be kinda know about my potential jiju whose name starts with a 'S'.
Shehnaaz looked at her family shocked, they were giving her teasing looks.
Shehnaaz was still confused but couldn't help but blush at the mention of Sidharth and Nidhi calling him jiju.
Shehnaaz:uhh.... U..I.... Howwww??
Rishab:I came today morning in your room when you were asleep and....
Shehnaaz:and??
Rishab:I didn't mean to but happened to see  someone named as Sidharth with a heart and angel emoji (❤😇) message you about an outing for today, I obviously didn't bug much but then he called on your no, so I picked it up quickly to not disturb your sleep and......
Shehnaaz:goshhh papa, aap beech beech mein ruk kyu rhe ho, thriller movie chal rhi hai kya
Nidhi laughed seeing her sisters condition
Rishab:so I picked it up and
(Below is Sidharth and Rishab Sehgal's conversation in the morning)
Rishab:Hello
Sidharth:He.. Hello, Shehnaaz??
Rishab:It's Rishab Sehgal, her father, who's this??
Sidharth:Oh, Good Morning Uncle, I'm Sidharth, her friend
Rishab:Good morning
(Silence)
Sidharth (fake cough) :U hmm, Uncle can I talk to Shehnaaz ??
Rishab:She's sleeping right now
Sidharth:oh... Ok I'll call later, bye uncle, good day
Rishab:wait....
Rishab could hear him gulp in nervousness and couldn't help but smile
Rishab:U r her friend, right??
Sidharth:yes
Rishab:so u might be knowing her well enough
Sidharth:yes(confused )
Rishab:I'm actually thinking to get her married with a friend of mine and...
Sidharth:what?? Marriage?? (Horrified , shocked and feeling broken)
Rishab:why r u shouting so much, I was telling , if you're her friend, maybe u could convince her to see this boy
(There was a brief silence before Sidharth said)
Sidharth:Uncle..... I'm sorry I can't help you
Rishab:wha.....
Sidharth:uncle, plz let me complete and plz don't judge me(deep breath) Uncle,I love Shehnaaz, yes I love ur daughter and I intent to propose her today,to confess my love for her today. I met your daughter 6 months back at the Himachal mission, we became friends and as we grew closer and became an important part of eo's lives, I don't know how and when but I fell for her, she is all things love.Uncle, ik it's ridiculous of me to be telling this to you over a phone call but I really do love your daughter, she is beautiful by soul, she is an epitome of humility, she is so loving and caring, her passion towards her profession and her love for her family, all of it draws me towards her, there not a single negative bone in her. Plz trust me Uncle... I..... I....
Rishab(sigh) :how am I supposed to trust a random guy over a call with my daughter for life.
Sidharth didn't speak, he didn't have an answer, he knew her father was absolutely right in his place.
Rishab :But, I've seen a different happiness in her ever since her  Himachal mission and now I think ik the reason, I give it to you. My daughter is smart enough,she knows to recognize people and their intentions,if she accepts you I don't have a problem but if everything goes well, we need to meet soon.
Sidharth:yes, thank you so much Uncle, we'll hopefully meet soon.
Rishab could clearly hear the happiness and slight nervousness in his voice.
Rishab:I'll ping you from my number, tell me the outcome after the proposal.
Sidharth:yes uncle, sure, thank you once again.
Rishab:hmm, all the best... Bye
Sidharth:Thanks uncle, bye.

Rishan finished narrating the conversation and Shehnaaz was left speechless. She could totally imagine Sidharth's condition, her father was not the strict type but for someone who didn't know him, he could seem very intimidating.

Rishab:then I told all this to your mother and siblings, I didn't receive a call or message from him till evening and thought maybe things didn't work out and I was afraid you'd be in a foul mood today but then later he messaged me saying Ur wishes worked, thank you☺, which meant you said yes, and so we planned this little drama to tease you for hiding ur love from us.
Shehnaaz was relieved that she didn't disappoint her parents by any means and it was just an act and was now shy to answer their teasing looks and questions.
Nandini:aur nhi toh Kya, Hume bataya bhi nhi....
Shehnaaz:Maa, mein batane hi wali thi, uske haa Bolne ke baad.
Nidhi:oye hoye, Lal tamatar ho rha hai koi toh.... Uhmmmm
Shehnaaz glared at her

Now the Sehgal family was sitting on the couch in the living room
Rishab:but on a serious note Naaz beta, he is a nice guy right??
Shehnaaz:he is the best
Shehnaaz said with a huge smile
Nidhi(whistle) :oh my goddd, someone is whipped
Shehnaaz ignored her teasing and said
Shehnaaz:papa, he's a great person, I love him.... a lot. He's an amazing professional, a man of his words, loves his family with his life, respects everyone and has a very graceful personality.
Nandini:we're happy for u beta, when r u making us meet??
Shehnaaz:maaa....
Rishab:what maa, he himself is fine with meeting, call him sometime next week
Shehnaaz:ok??
Nidhi:now let's sleep, I'm so tired
The Sehgals bid eo a good night and went to their rooms.
Shehnaaz couldn't stop smiling, the proposal already had her spirits high but the lovely gesture of Sidharth to have so gently convinced her father had her heart, she loves this man, this thought made her heart smile.
