A WEEK LATER, NSA LADAKH
Shehnaaz and gang were up and all cheery and why not, today they'll be going back to their homes, they managed to capture the terrorists groups in the past week and with all the paperwork done, they're off. Shehnaaz was going to Mumbai, her home which was a kinda surprise for her family because she couldn't inform them due to no network. Also she had to leave for Jodhpur tomorrow for Arnav and Khushi's engagement, YES it's ArShi getting engaged, they knew each other since childhood and have been in love for forever. Shehnaaz was in the flight after bidding bye to her colleagues and teasing Arnav about the engagement. Arnav had straight went to Jodhpur only, on reaching there he quickly sent a message to his friends which also included Sidharth about the address, only the address, because he had already sent invites to their homes but there was an error in the address printed so he was doing the needful.

Shehnaaz reached Mumbai and first thing she did was switch on her phone, her phone felt alive with the network finally available here and started buzzing with notifications, she didn't check all of them right now, just booked a cab and started to her home. After around an hour later she reached her home, she was now standing in front of her house, waiting for the door to be opened after pressing the bell, it was a Friday which meant her family was at work. The door was opened by her house help who looked surprised to see her but happily greeted her, Shehnaaz also greeted her back and went to freshen up not before warning her to not tell her family about her arrival.

Later in the evening, she surprised her parents and sister one by one as they came and all of them were beyond happy after finally meeting her after like 2 months, they then called her brother with his family who came rushing to meet his baby sister. They Sehgals had dinner together, spent quality time after which Kartik and family went to their house and the rest went to their rooms. Shehnaaz sat on her bed watching TV lost in her thoughts,very surprisingly there was just one message from Sid after their last conversation on phone, it was him asking about her wellbeing, just it. She found it unusual because even though there was no network on her side but he messaged her almost everyday and she replied back once the network was available or better called him immediately, still she brushed off her thoughts thinking he might be busy and messaged him about her arrival and successful completion of the mission, she had also called him in the afternoon but he hadn't received it so she left a message for him to call back once he's free. She was feeling anxious about no contact with him but was continuously dismissing any wierd thoughts, she missed him so much in Ladakh couldn't even talk on call and now when she's back also, they aren't able to talk.She came back to her senses when her phone beeped, it was Sidharth msg, she immediately opened the notification with smile which changed into a frown on reading the message, the message stated, 'Hey Sana, sorry couldn't answer your messages , was caught up somewhere,congratulations for ur mission,won't be able to call now, anyways we'll meet tomorrow in Jodhpur..... Congrats, bye.

Shehnaaz frowned at the message, it seemed so formal, they never communicated this way ever, why was he being so passive, she thought. And why the heck was he congratulating me twice, that's not his style of messaging even. She wanted to clear things, because she was getting an intuition that something was wrong but what, she didn't know. But she knew better than to start the conversation on message, she decided to talk to him tomorrow in person. After reading his message, she sent another message saying, 'thanks..... Toh hum kal Jodhpur saath mein jayenga na subah 8 baje ki flight available hai???
He replied back with a, 'no, I'll come directly from Nagpur, you carry on'
She so wanted to smack him but took a deep breath and replied an 'ok', the conversation was done for now. Shehnaaz layed on the bed and fell asleep thinking about Sidharth and his aloofness which was beginning to upset her more than anything.

GOENKA HOUSE, MUMBAI

The past week has been horrible for Sidharth,after the call got cut in the middle due to loss of network, there has been no contact with Shehnaaz. Sidharth was heartbroken, he thought Arnav was getting to Shehnaaz (how he came to that conclusion is beyond the understanding of scientists for NASA as well, hehe). Even his sister in laws baby shower couldn't uplift his mood, he would always seem lost in thoughts, thoughts of Shehnaaz to be particular. He made no attempt to contact Shehnaaz like he did earlier, only sent a msg asking about her well-being because he couldn't stop himself to not know how she'd doing especially on such a dangerous mission. No, he wasn't angry or upset with her, it wasn't her fault but he was frustrated with himself, he didn't know why, he was sure he'd lose himself if he talks with her, he was afraid he'll upset her by saying something in his misery, he was afraid he'd confess his love if he talks to her and it'll lead to complications, he didn't want any of these scenarios, he wanted the best for her and if it's Arnav with whom she's happy then be it, he thought.(Author face palming)

Today he saw her message about her arrival, he wanted to reply back right away but he didn't, he didn't pick up her call as well, he cursed himself fir being stubborn and upsetting her, he knew she'd feel bad but he didn't want to hurt her. He replied back at night (the conversation mentioned above), he was not in Nagpur, he was in Mumbai itself and had booked a later flight because he couldnt see her on the journey of going to Jodhpur to engage to someone, someone who wasn't him.Earlier he had decided to not go to the engagement, he wouldn't be able to see her going away from him, it would kill him to see Arnav sliding the ring in her hands and she doing the same with Arnav but he knew better than to upset her in her big day ,he knew shed be very angry if he didn't go there and also he didn't want her to feel suspicious about his absence or behavior, he gathered a lot of strength and made the decision of going to her engagement. He had received the adress from Arnav this afternoon, he had gotten the invite as well, his mother had told him that some Arnav had parceled an invitation card of his engagement and that she has kept it in a certain shelf but he didn't have the courage to look at the card and so he didn't (isliye mahashay ko nhi pata ke its ArShi's engagement and not Shehnaaz, face palm again).

NEXT DAY,MUMBAI
Shehnaaz left  in the morning for jodhpur and reached there in the afternoon, Arnav had booked a palace looking hotel for the guests stay, after greeting Arnav, khushi and their families she went to her room to rest for a bit before the engagement which is in the evening, she messaged Sidharth about his time of arrival and slept being tired due to travelling mentally thinking about ways to ask Sidharth about what has happened.

Sidharth on the other hand had an afternoon flight, he had gotten Shehnaazs msg and replied back in one word saying evening, he took a deep breath  preparing himself for the days emotional ride. He reached the hotel in Jodhpur and met Arnav who was looking very happy and greeted him, he asked about his fiance to be trying to sound casual and got the reply that she's getting ready for the engagement, Sidharth smiled painfully and bid adieu saying he'll get ready and meet in the Hall. Sidharth went to his designated room, freshened up and got ready for the engagement. On the other side, shehnaaz also had gotten ready and was with Khushi in her room. She had seen Sidharth msg and was determined to smack him hard for his aloof behavior but deep down she was worried about this change in him, it was painful for her to see his passiveness.
