NSA,LADAKH,EVENING
Shehnaaz and her colleagues were in a local market, they had gotten a lead in the mission and were on their feet to nab the terrorists. Shehnaaz was walking in the lanes trying to look as casual as possible, when she heard her phone beeping, indicating that network was available now, after 4 days. She cursed her fate, she couldn't talk to her loved ones now. She quickly took out her phone and saw messages being flooded on her phone from her family asking about her well-being , she responded to them positively and asked about theirs. Then she scrolled down and saw Sidharths message informing about his mission being successfully completed, his wound healing and asking about her well-being, she smiled at these messages and typed the answers to his messages and congratulated on the completion of his mission. She then silenced her phone and kept it back, she so wanted to talk to everyone on call but.....

They waited till late evening, the shops were beginning to close now and there was no sight of the terrorists. They were beginning to lose hope now, suddenly Shehnaaz got a call on her pager from another colleague informing that there are two suspicious men coming her way and that they are following them. The gang got alerted, everyone on their toes, half the gang including Shehnaaz followed the men sneakily, the men went in a shady looking home, the gang peeped through the windows and saw the house filled with people and loaded with arms and ammunition, they were now sure that they were terrorists, Shehnaaz called the back up team, they couldn't fight all alone with so many people. The team arrived after some time and they raided the house, bullets were fired from both sides, some tried escaping but the entire area was surrounded by the NSA team, they were captured and sent to NSA and would be interrogated tomorrow.

Shehnaaz was relieved now, this was a major break through for them, they could interrogate the captured ones and hopefully reach the other terrorists, this wasn't the end sadly. After dinner and meeting with the officials, Shehnaaz went to her room and saw the network was still there, she went into the garden area and called her family members and talked to them while walking around. After her conversation with family, she called Sidharth.

GOENKA HOUSE, MUMBAI
Sidharth was busy and that was so out of place because he always stays chill in Mumbai having nothing to do, but this time he was running errands for his sister in laws baby shower. All the preparations except the main customs to be followed which would be managed by his mother,were to be handled by him. The baby shower was tomorrow and he was super tired. In the evening he came back home after some shopping and saw Shehnaazs messages, he immediately clicked on them and saw she had responded to his previous messages, congratulated him and was asking about he was doing, he smiled at her messages and replied back.After that he spent time with his family and had dinner. He was sitting in his room scrolling through his phone when he received Shehnaaz's call and his tired demeanor immediately Brightened , he picked up the call and said
Sid:hello....
Shehnaaz:hi, kaise ho, aur congratulations,mission successfullllllll, woah
Sid:thank youuu and someone sounds very cheerful today
Sana:because someone is very happy today
Sid:and why is that someone happy, share with me, mein bhi khush ho jaun zara
Sana:we caught a bunch of terrorist today and went a step closer in the mission
Sid:wow that's great news
Sana:haina.....??? Aur batao kaisi chal rhi hai godh bharai (baby shower) ki tayariyan
Sid:badiya, kal hi hai na uske baad wahi back to being a couch potato
Shehnaaz giggled
Shehnaaz:uhhh i miss mumbai so much
Sid:tch tch..... Shehnaaz yaar, You're missing Mumbai... You should tell you're missing me and your family sweetheart
Sana:ha toh tumlog Mumbai mein agaye na
Sid:tu aur tere logic
Sana:logic ki toh baat mat kar..... Duniya ke saare logical batein tujhe karni hoti hai
Sid:toh usme kya.....
He was cut in the middle by a voice calling Shehnaaz from behind.
While Shehnaaz was talking to Sidharth, Arnav walked from the opposite side and on seeing her, came towards her
Shehnaaz:Arre Arnav.....
Sid is still on call and can hear them talk
Arnav:yaha kya kar rhi hai itni raat ko
Sana:tum kya kar rhe ho
She questioned back raising her eyebrows teasing and he blushed
Arnav:wo chod.... Meko Sidharth ka no de na, use call karna tha invite karne, tujhe bola tha bolne ko use, bola tune??
Sana:ohh shoot.....
Arnav:bhul gayi?? Kya yaar Sana
Sana:sorry na... Le baat kar uska hi phone hai.... Hello Sidharth??
Sid:ha ha....
Sana:lo Arnav se baat karo
Sid:sa.....
And put the phone on speaker
Arnav:hello bhai
Sid:hi Arnav, how r u doing
Arnav:mein toh mast aur Shehnaaz ke saath toh aur bhi mast
Sid felt something churn in him.
Sid:acha... Sahi hai... Aur bata kya haal chaal
Arnav:Sid bro congratulate me, I'm getting engaged... And you're invited of course, tu toh ladki wala hoga na, Ill send the address on message, aana hi aana hai tumhe, waise bhi apne friends ki mangni thodi miss karoge
Sid:uhh... What.... I mean congrats
Sana(giggle) :isn't it amazing Sidharth, the engagement is at Jodhpur, his native, we'll meet there and...... Hello Sidharth... Hello... Da*n the network yaar.
Sid:hello?? Hello??
There was no voice, he understand that the network was gone again.

Sidharth felt upset, he should have been happy for his friends but here he was, in his own miseries. He couldnt make himself feel alright knowing that the girl he loves is going to get engaged soon, Shehnaaz and Arnav were getting engaged and he was invited, he laughed at the irony of his destiny. Yes, he loves Shehnaaz, he realized this in Chandigarh during his stay there for his mission, how he couldnt do without talking to her daily, how her littlest of happiness lightened his world and her sadness made him upset, how she was such an admirable human, she was unreal for him, a woman so pure, so loving and caring, so compassionate,humble and so determined, her dedication for her job and nation had swept him off on their first meet itself, he was proud of her achievements.She was just so so beautiful, on the outside and even more on the inside.She was so full of love, he felt himself smile  just admiring her in his thoughts. But then reality struck in,he was shattered. He felt tears soak his face at the thought of her being with someone , someone who wasn't him. He didn't realize when sleep overcame him.

Ik ik this update wasn't much of Sidnaaz but was necessary for story build up but next updates are gonna be full of drama, romance and SidNaaz of course ❤
