Chapter 61: SCP-5031 "Yet Another Murder Monster"

Here we see Jessica sitting in a chair in a lab in Bio-Site 59 at the Foundation and she is completely angry that she forgot that it was Bring Your Daughter To Work Day.

Jessica: "How did I even get back to the Foundation?"

Mini-Flashback

We see Jessica eating breakfast on the weekend and when she sees the calendar, it was take your Daughter to Work Day.

Jessica: "Oh no."

End of flashback

Siobhan: "Sorry sweetie, but it's good for morale in the Foundation."

Angela: "And (Y/N) gave us a new SCP to work on together."

Jessica: "You forced me to come here!"

Mini-flashback

Jessica: "Mama Siobhan, I don't want to go to the SCP Foundation."

Siobhan: "But it's Bring Your Daughter to Work Day sweetie."

Jessica: "But what gives you the idea that I would like to go there?"

Siobhan: "One."

Jessica: "Mama, do you think I'm a little old for that?"

Siobhan: "Two."

Jessica: "Fine I'm going."

End of mini-flashback

Siobhan: "Works every time."

Jessica: "I bet this SCP will be yet another murder monster."

Angela: "Well sweetie, we are dealing with a quasi-humanoid creature with two sets of 3 lower limbs, a small head with no discernable neck, a crescent shaped tail, and it levitates .5 meters from the ground."

Siobhan: "Well whenever we try to look at the SCP, it ceases to exist until someone looks away from that spot. They call it SCP-5031. They think it's a mindless monster like all the others, but (Y/N) has a theory it can be something akin to a scared child."

Jessica: "I do not want to do this!"

Angela: "But you will, you have a mother's instinct."

Jessica: "Dang it you're right. Curse my maternal instincts!"

Siobhan: "Let's start with sound testing with music and natural ambiance."

Angela: *places discs on the table*"Which one should we start first?"

Jessica: "How about Morning Forest Ambiance?"*grabs the disc*"Who doesn't like the forest in the morning?"

Siobhan: "I'll get the speakers."

Several sound tests later.

Jessica: "After some testing 5031, it likes music from Anya, Ben Folds, KISS, and Mozart."

Angela: "Plus it's stress level decreased between 15%-25%."

Siobhan: "Next series of tests is play time."

Several play tests later.

Siobhan: "He prefers a basketball over a bowling ball."

???: "Excellent progress."

The girls then see you come into the room and you look at the results.

(Y/N): "Just as I expected, SCP-5031's motor skills are comparable to a toddler. For the next round of tests will be food and I'll be in charge of this round of testing since you 3 are vegans and it mostly involves a carnivorous diet. Once the food tests are completed I'll hand you back oversight of this SCP. Unless you're okay with SCP-5031 eating chicken?"
