Bakugou's pov

I huff, a short breath escaping heavily as my eyes scan over familiar gates keeping me just from an oh so familiar building. Nothing screams nostalgia like a reunion ten years from when I last saw the majority of my classmates that I graduated with.

"It's now or never.." I mumble to myself, huffing out a nervous breath before stepping up to the gates left open for the grand reunion of classes this afternoon.

My Dr Martin boots crunch against the gravel as I walk towards to front office of the school with a huge, over the top welcome back banner up front. The colours cringy and bright, not corresponding at all but that makes sense since the school literally doesn't have an art course.

I would have loved to do an art course or just a club. It's a great pass time and helps me relax when stressed or super mad.

A wall of heat rushes to my face and freezing hands as I step in to the main office. It's awfully warm in here for a building with its doors wide open. I chill goes down my spine as my cheeks turn rosy from the temperature difference.

"That's what I'm saying.. I've missed them, even the problem child" a rough voice greats my ears. One that used to be filled with exhaustion and lack of interest, now sounding slightly less tired but more excited towards the events of the day.

"Aizawa sensei?" I say softly, clearing my throat to speak. Staying silent with no one to speak to other than my cat really affects your throat.

"Bakugou.. early as usual" he says softly, expression flat but tone filled with happiness.

"Well.. what can I say, the early bird catches the worm" I say softly, a soft chuckle slipping out to match my small smile. "Also I still live local so.." I mumble out the last part, awkwardly putting my hands in to my pockets.

"Ah.. well I'm glad you could make it" Aizawa says, a small smile slipping on to his face.

I bite my lip, feeling a pang of loneliness hit my chest. I've really just spent.. ten years of life in a run down little apartment, no friends to talk to.. no partner to return home to.. just me and my cat.

"So.. how have you been.. what you doing?" Aizawa asks softly and I look up to the group of past hero's. "I don't ever see you on the news" Aizawa says softly and I shrug.

"Yeah.. I did six months of hero work.. but I had to retire prematurely from a serious injury that left me in hospital for a bit.. I work in a coffee shop now" I say softly.

It's convenient really, I work in a cat café. It means I can bring my own cat out too so he's not alone. Yie (pronounced like tie just with a y) can get a bit lonely but he likes to go play with the other cats that are there.

"Ah I see, do you like the work you do?" Aizawa asks softly and I hum.

"Yeah, I work with cats and I've got a few good friends in work" I say softly, leaning back against a pillar.
