Bakugou's pov

"Hey, I'll be right back okay.. let me go get the menus and we can order something for lunch and have a cozy day in" I say softly, gently kissing Denki's cheek before getting up and leaving them in my room.

I head down the hall, walking slower as I hear some of our classmates talking in the common room.

"Come on bro, just go get Denki" Kirishima whines out and I bite my tongue, slowing to a stop as I listen in.

"He said he'd meet us here, maybe he's just using the toilet or something" Sero says and I hold back a groan.

I listen to them continuously use the wrong pronouns for Denki for a further two minutes before stepping in to the room.

"Denki uses they/them pronouns.. respect that" I say softly as I walk past them to go get the menus from the kitchen. We're going to decide on which fast food to get for lunch.

"But.. Denki is a boy? He still does everything like he used to do?" Iida says, sounding confused which is understandable with the family background he comes from. He probably wasn't really taught about it like me.

My mum being out and proud as pan, having girlfriends here and there as she lives platonicly with my very gay, trans father. I was taught all about it when I was young. I've never thought differently about any of it. It's what's actually normal to me.

"Denki has used they/them pronouns since we met them, I know that it doesn't quite make sense to you Iida but can you try to use the right pronouns. It would make Denki so much happier for people to just respect them" I say softly and Iida nods with furrowed brows.

"Would.. would he- I mean they, be okay to explain it to me? I want to understand, I want hi-them to be happy" Iida says and I smile as he immediately tries to get it correct.

"Of course, I'll speak to Denki about it and see if they're feeling up to it.. rough day, we're just going to order fast food and watch a few movies together" I say softly and Iida nods.

"What ever man.. Denki is literally a boy" Mineta says I raise an eyebrow.

"If you're so sure ma'am" I say softly and his head shoots up.

"I'm a boy!" He exclaims and I hum.

"Ah.. my bad.. just like how Denki is non binary, yeah? That's what they identify as and that's what you identify as" I say softly and Mineta huffs before walking off.

I shrug before walking off, making sure to flip them off on my way out. I return to Denki, finding them flicking through Disney+ with my hoodie drowning their body.

"You comfy?" I ask softly, seeing Denki giggle happily. "Alright well we've got some different take outs, I'm really leaning towards BBQ but the choice is yours" I say softly and Denki nods, taking the menus from me to have a little look over them.

We enjoy our evening in together, having a fattening dinner together whilst watching our favourite movies and cuddling up close to each other.

Hopefully the class will actually try to use the right pronouns for Denki, it's unfair on them to have to feel like utter shit every day before of their classmates.
