Bakugou's pov

"C'mon kid, get up because I made breakfast. You wanna eat before school right?" My mum asks softly, standing in my doorway.

"Mm.. don't wanna go.." I complain, feeling achy and feverish.

"Why not baby bear?" She asks softly coming over to my bed.

"Feel ill.." I complain and she hums softly before pressing a hand to my head.

"You're rather warm bud, let me get the thermometer and we'll go from there" mum says softly and I hum.

It seems so pathetic to not want to go to school with a minor fever but I just spent the weekend with my mama and I don't feel good, all I want is to stay here and be comforted like I was when I was young.

Soon enough, my temperature is taken and it's turns out that the fever isn't so minor but rather quite high.

"C'mon, let's go get comfy on the sofa for a sick day" mama says softly and I hum, head aching at the light beaming in to my room along with the heat that my head is swimming in.

"Mm.. Kay.." I mumble out tiredly, slowly moving down to the sofa with my blankets.

"Bro, where were you Monday?" Denki asks as we sit in the dorms on Thursday.

"At home" I mumble out, trying to focus on anything but the burning in my hands and ringing that is making it harder to hear.

"Bro why, you never miss school!" Dunce complains and I huff.

"I'm.. wondering too Kacchan.. you haven't missed school for like.. years" Deku says and I shrug.

"Even the best have to take sick days idiot" I mutter out, flicking the page of my text book over to make it seem like I'm not too engaged in their conversation.

"You were sick? That's possible?" Mina asks and I shrug.

"Yeah.. had fucking fever and shit so took a sick day and stayed home with the hag" I mumble out, moving to jot down notes.

"But.. you hate your mother, Why'd you opt to spend more time with her over trying come and train?" Kirishima asks and I scoff.

"Maybe it's because my fever was so bad I was slightly delirious and I ached all over. I got dizzy every time I tried to open my eyes and I vomited twice because the spinning wouldn't stop" I complain, closing my books and getting ready to just disappear into my dorm.

"Damn, it was that bad?" Iida asks softly and I hum.

"It's normal though. I get it every now and then. I know what causes it and all so.. I'm gonna be in me room if anyone needs help with homework or some shit" I mumble, grabbing all my books and heading up to my room.
