'Are you sure she will come?'
the moon hid behind the clouds.
'She is so kind. I am sure she will come.'
I gathered flowers for her welcome.
'I pity you,' the moon sighed,
'and you've been like this ever since
she lied.'
'I believe in her.'
I kissed the rose.
'If I don't, then who will?
She's a black rose.'
'She has never shed
a tear for you.' the moon said.
'I will welcome her with petals,'
My lips trembled in fear.
'The breaking of your heart
echoes through the night.'
the moon moved closer to me.
'Stop this madness.'
'Don't waste them,'
the stars choired,
'she won't come.'
'My heart belongs to her,'
I said, climbing the roof,
'and my love grows for her
like ripples in a pond
when it rains.'
'You are a weird one'
the stars faded;
the moon stayed.
'I'll be there for you,'
the moon glistened in my tears.
