One day later, Fred was still on his journey.
"Carry me!" he roared to the strong slaves.
The slaves moaned and picked Fred up off the ground.
"This is the life I wanted," Fred whispered to himself, "and I want it to stay this way, until I get that Nature Gem. I want everyone to bow to me and obey me, all around the world! Also, I want to be famous too." Fred said, now not whispering to himself, but now not conscious about it.
All his agents and slaves heard that, and they weren't supposed to know, so they couldn't reveal that they knew. They all thought that they could be famous by helping Fred get the Gem. But they still obeyed Fred.
"Just one-hundred more miles to go!" he said to his agents and slaves. "Can't you go any faster?" When The agents didn't respond,he began to get angry. "Come on, go faster."
"We're trying Master Fred," said an agent, breathing loudly.

Back at Fred's fortress, the slaves surrounding the dungeons had been tied up, and the dungeon doors were opened by the surprising strength of the worst agent. By this time, the worst agent was headed for the Enchanted Forest. He'd had enough of being an agent and hated Fred for it. He was never going back to the fortress again.
The worst agent thought that if he wanted to help people, he might as well go to the people who Fred was enemies with and give them information about Fred's plan.

As he was half way there, there were fifty more miles left. He knew that because he secretly stole Fred's map. He walked and walked and sometimes he would talk to himself about how Fred treated him. Fred was the worst master he had ever had. So he had betrayed him. Then something else came to his head. He was so hot. Really, really hot. He had fallen to the ground when he was three quarters in. He was in a desert. He tried to crawl. Because he knew a quote that helped him get through hard things.
"If you can't drive a car, ride a bike. If you can't ride a bike, run. If you can't run, walk. If you can't walk, crawl. Just keep on moving forward."
Thinking about his favorite quote, he got right back up and ran. When he couldn't run he walked. And finally he got there, with all his courage lost. When he was right in front of the forest he had stopped.

"Intruder, intruder!" Mo yelled to the other look out animals.
The agent put his hands up. He had white blond hair, and a pale complexion. They lowered their weapons.
"No," said Mo, "he wants us under his control."
"I'm not going to do any harm, I just need to see the Guardians of the Forest." He screamed so the animals could hear him.
"Fine, you can see them," said Mo.
So they tied him around a tree. Coral, Rose Gale and Fyron were coming toward the agent. They sat on some stumps.
"What is your name?" Gale snapped.
"Oh, I'm North," said North. "North Riderton."
Then Mo shouted to them:
"Someone else is here," said Mo, surprised and worried at the same time.
Then the person that was outside of the forest threw something. It looked like a ball of glitter. Then Mo hopped down from his tree and came to the person. He brought a big leaf down with him. He sat right next to him. Then he moved the leaf up and down. It looked like he was fanning the person. Then all the lookout animals started to do that. It was like some controlling glitter. North knew who it was. Fred!
"Guys, I know who it is! It's Fred!" North said, looking at them. "Because when I was in the dungeons his agents were making it. But good thing there is no human control glittering balls! We need to hide. Because soon all the animals in the forest will be controlled by Fred! Do you have any place he won't find us?"
"Yeah, we have our huts," said Rose. "We just need to get past Lakelynn. Good thing I know her password to get past the maze."
Gale untied the rope from the tree so North could follow them. They all ran to their hut's. Fyron was behind them all, still looking at Fred throwing the glitter balls. As they got to Lakelynn, Rose asked if they could go past the maze.
"What's the password?" asked Lakelynn.
"Umm, Maya's Tiggito," said Rose to Lakelynn.
"You may come in and you better go fast," said Lakelynn quickly, looking at the controlled animals.
They all ran to the huts. The closest was Fyron's hut, so they ran into Fyron's hut, breathing very fast.
"We need more help, the four of us can't defeat Fred and all of his agents and controlled animals alone," Fyron said, thinking about Fred.
"Okay," said Rose back to him. "I'll think about who to recruit."

Okay who to recruit, who to recruit. Rose thought. Someone that we can trust. Rose thought a lot harder. What if I mess up? What will I do? I don't want to be banished from the team. Wait, I'm the team leader. I got this.
