《CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR》

Tommy POV-

I stared down at Technoblade and smiled, "Out of all people to call me out, I thought it be Dream, maybe even Niki, I can tell she's been suspicious of me since day one", I laughed dryly, "But it had to be you" I stated, I didn't mean it to come out as bitterly as it did, I could see Technoblade stiffen, almost like he regretted exposing my identity, but whats done is done, and it's not like I did a good job at hiding it anyway, not that it mattered, because there was some part of me that hoped they would find out it was me. 

"You- you fucking..", Wilbur stuttered, and I almost grimaced, "I didn't betray you", I said slowly, finishing his words, and he looked angry, disappointed even, "You did. Your a-", "I am a vigilante", I nodded, "Do you think i'm a bad person because i'm a vigilante, Wilbur?", I asked calmly, He clenched his jaw and shook his head, "No. I dont. Thats the worst part", I shrugged, "I thought the worst part would be arresting me?", "Were...were not going to arrest you", Philza spoke up suddenly, and what surprised me was that Wilbur and Technoblade gave no indication of wanting to protest, "Why not? You caught me, didn't you? Your supposed to turn me in, in a few hours", I reminded, and Technoblade shook his head, "We just need to supply a major lead  on you, to the very latest", He said, and I frowned, "what are you going to do then? I couldn't care less, really, but I have somewhere to be in a bit, and I could come back later for you to arrest me", I said, Philza frowned, "You say that like you want us to arrest you", "Not that, it's nothing like that, just..", I trailed off, remembering what they had done to Schlatt, "Thought things would be the same for me, like with Schlatt", I said finally, after a few minutes of silence, Wilbur sneered, and crossed his arms, "So, you just wanted information? Is that why you started working for us-", Technoblade cut Wilbur off quickly, "are you stupid?? Here you go again, letting your emotions control you, did you not hear about what he said? About Schlatt just wanting to save his kid or whatever? Nothing Schlatt did was against  us!", Wilbur shut his mouth almost immediately, regret hugging his dark eyes, and I was never a person of pity, but I felt bad for Wilbur. Lack of control is a great weakness as well as it is a great strength. It isn't always a bad thing, but maybe not everyone learned to see that.

"I didn't start working for you to get information, in fact, I could care less about the secrets of the Hero corporation", I shrugged, finally, jumping down to them, making them back up quickly, "Then why?", Philza asked, I snorted, "why else do you get a Job, Philza?", the dumbfounded looks on their faces were priceless and would have made me burst out laughing, had I not seen Tubbo and Ranboo around the corners of the buildings that surrounded us, they were rushing from one place to another, and I realized they were looking for me, not only that, but I had somewhere else to be. 

"Philza?", I asked, "yes?", "what do you want to do now? I can come back tomorrow and you can arrest me then, use my file as a lead or something, use my 'Thomathy Jones', persona as a lead for your stupid case, I dont care, but now, Im wasting time and I need to be going somewhere", Philza shook his head, "we already told you, were not arresting you", I scowled, "then what are you going to do?-", "Let them give the case to someone else", Technoblade spoke, "Were not going to arrest you, Tommy", I let my gaze fall on Wilbur and he had turned his face away, looking off somewhere else, and I figured he didn't want to look at me any longer, "Your...secret or whatever, you being a Vigilante, it's....it's safe with us", Wilbur said slowly, sparing a quick glance at me, and I only could only catch the guilt in his eyes, "It's not like you were ever doing anything wrong, I'm sorry we couldn't see that, I'm sorry I  couldn't see that", "It's not your fault, Wilbur, it's not easy to stop believing what you thought was true for so long. Sometimes you learn things that are not always true, but your taught to believe they are anyway, and I imagine it must be hard to come to acknowledge what you were taught, was never even remotely true", I rubbed my wrists, wrapping up the conversation, "But anyway, i'll see you guys at work, yeah? Try not to fire me, it's hard as fuck to get a Job at 16", "wait..16?!", Philza shouted at me, but I was already flying, wings stretched and extended, and I caught Ranboo's eyes, as he and Tubbo made their way to behind the Intimidation tower.
